If we had a choice of Clark or Gres, I would like to keep Clark. Still think he hasn't reached his potential and is just getting there, while I feel Gres has reached his top.

That was before Ratts sacked, Gallagher leaving, Ross, Lenny and Harvs coming on board and the team starting 5-1.
What I have heard is that RTB is keen on Clark staying.

He didn't want to go originally and was surprised that the club was discussing it. Obviously it would have been frustrating to him to the point of oh well I'll leave then.
Hopefully that is water under the bridge and he re signs

I dont want to sound like a doom sayer, but there are other scenarios much more likely given his exposed form. I just dont get the buzz, surely there are other ruckman around looking for more opportunity?

Don't know if it was just hype but the Saints let it be known they had Phillipou @ no.2 on their list, so what you say may well be the case. Have also heard they were into Wardlow but Clark and Phillipou is so much better than just a Phillipou or a Wardlow.

Wardlow was North first choice so he would have been gone by our pick

The rumours at the time were we were keen on Tsatas, but we've since said we rated Phillipou high so it would have been a bloody strange move to move up the draft to take Phillipou when most were tipping him to make it down the order anyway.

I'm bloody glad North turned that offer down

13 career goals in 46 games, kicked multiple once (2 goals . 2 years ago)

19 games last season for 4 goals, really hope hes not forward/chopout role.

freo right now are an absolute shambles and i'm not just talking on-field performance. there's huge cultural/standard type issues within the playing group. there's big rifts between players and coach. coach and football dept staff. footy gm and CEO. it's literally an all in shit show.

you could actually draw up a list of about 5 players that ordinarily wouldn't be gettable but because it's freo and because they're doing freo things, you could probably claw them out, it's just gonna cost ya to get em
