Oh and just for next time its You're
you are one aggro post away from champing people.

Oh and just for next time, there is no space between ok and the apostrophe. In fact it should be ok. LOL. ;)

Possession is 9/10ths of the law. Stocker has the position, Coffield can't even get on the park.

I hate that expression, its literally not true, and its not the case in your football example either.

That apostrophe is a comma.

Was down at the DFC having a Sauna and Icebath this morning alongside Gubby, SOS, Wilkes and Hill. Overheard Gubby and Wilkes having a chat about the break, Noosa etc and Gubby mentioning that the mids 'need to come back refreshed and work harder' in the second half of the year. The convo then turned to trades - Gubby mentioning they're on the hunt for '2 x A grade mids, a key back and help for Ro in the ruck'

Get it done Gubby!!

Said it for years and I'll say it again - leg speed and dual sided precise kicking midfielders should be our priorities. Can have one or two bigger bodied ball extractors but we need at least four fast midfielders who can kick the ball short and long distance to a moving target.

For instance, we should have made a big offer to Touk Miller a couple of years ago, too late now. We should scour the nation to find likely prospects, even if it takes another year or two to get them. Simply can't have enough of them.

I accidently watched the Roos and Dons yesterday and while the Roos will keep losing more games than they win this year their young midfielders look very exciting and have much more promise than ours. If we don't improve at least 10% on where we are now we'll slide back down.

We have been on the hunt for those players for ten years. Hope they actually land them one day. Gags had a stinker last year

How many of these exist in the league? They're not falling out of every draft like Ballarat drizzle.

Touk does lots of good things, but kicking is definitely not one of those.

Absolutely correct Punter, but that's the ideal player. Then work backwards if none are available, for instance you'd take a Petracca because although he doesn't have much of a left leg he more than makes up for it in other ways. Sam Mitchell, who I hated as a player wasn't fast, but very precise on both sides of his body with hands and feet. You know what I mean, which is that we need to explore all options for elite midfielders so our backs don't get so exposed and our forwards have more opportunities.

Great mids can cover for gaps in the list, for a while at least!

Not sure what else Gallagher should have done last year.

We clearly needed to hit the draft. Chasing more mature players would have cost us picks that landed us players like Phillipou, Hotton and Van Es.

Can’t trade your picks out every year. This is the best our list has looked for years and it’s mostly because we look to have had two strong years in the draft

Its also become evident why we were only going to give up Clark for a top 3 pick in return as we knew that one of Sheezle or Wardlaw would be available and well they are both tracking excellently.

We needed ready made depth but didnt want to trade out our draft hand. Love or hate him, Cordy cost nothing and has provided exactly that.

Still think we are a big chance for McKay
Looking for a back up for Marshall to help him a little should look at N Bryan from the Bombers
I don’t mind Parish not sure he leaves

If we can land two quality Free Agents it would be a coup akin to the Gehrig, Hamill trade year.

But I think Gringo is on the money with also chasing fringe midfielders who are being starved of opportunity eg Flanders, Robertson etc.

It's not just last year, we should have been chasing quality mids for years.

Well the post I replied to specifically said Gallagher had a stinker last year.

I disagree. I think we did perfectly well last year.

Getting a 2nd round pick for a fringe player and hitting the draft was a good outcome.

On your point though, we have been chasing quality mids for years. They just all say no.

Where we really went wrong was not being able to draft any. Looks like we may have been able to start turning that around over the last 2 years though.

The forgotten Saint... Jack Billings.... what's happening with him.

I think because his game relies on him doing big km's he is taking some time to get back to the level required. Fit and playing at his top level he probably pushes Byrnes out, but he is no where near it as yet.
