Yep. This worried me about SOS right from the start.

At the Blues he kept gathering Giants cast offs.
Now he’s doing the same from the Blues.

Does he know how to look further afield?

Getting rid of say Clark/Billing’s for Philip isn’t anything to get excited about

So Dow Goldstein Philp is what we are talking, it’s bottom of the barrel stuff

Hoping SOS has learnt a bit more and not just going to bring in the rejects from his previous employment like he has done in the past

Time will tell, draft and trade period always fun

But if we “want to go to the draft” there really isn’t a lot else out there this year without us having to start spending first rounders etc.

If we cut our dead wood we can’t just replace them all in this draft. We have always been short of mids and we don’t exactly have the choice of all midfielders in the comp to fill out our list.

Bytel is the only pure kid we had playing regularly at Sandy. We need more and don’t want to be drafting duds at the back of the draft and being stuck with them for two years before delisting them.

He’s got tunnel vision is all I’m saying.
Rather keep Coff than swap him out for another player with a history of injuries.

This Goldstein talk is just stupid. He's far more valuable to North. And why would we bother? He's 36 next year. Look how J. Frawley fell off a cliff when we picked him up as FA. If we think we're not going to persist with Campbell, and need a backup in case Marshall goes down and Heath isn't ready, just pick up someone like S. Hayes for nothing.

What have I missed? Are people legit suggesting we get Goldy. Unbelievable

We don't need a ruckman who is clearly past it - time to improve our list not make it worse by getting a guy at the end of his career who may not even be able to get through preseason.

It has to be remembered the last 4 yrs Sandilands only averaged around 7 games a year so they had to carry a few ruckmen just to cover for him.

IMO Goldstein isn't coming to St Kilda to back up Marshall when he will get better offers from elsewhere.

And thank God for that.

My point is...will he want to play at Sandy? I doubt RTB is changing his strategy to have 2 rucks.

Unless he can earn more ,$$ elsewhere the answer is yes.
