OK over to you, what the hell is chronic pars defect syndrome. That's why Draper isn't testing at the Combine?
Is it related to his shin splint issues?

A pars defect or spondylolysis is a stress fracture of the bones of the lower spine. These fractures typically occur due to overuse. They can be on one or both sides of the vertebrae. It is a common cause of low back pain in children and adolescents.

I know that much but it's jeffcrowe's area of expertise so that's why I specifically asked him
Potential to cause issue if not treated properly but should be fine and he should grow out of it
Stress fractures in spine from overuse that can lead to narrowing if left untreated
I wouldn’t say it’s nothing but I also wouldn’t have a massive red flag about it

I just got worried when I saw the word chronic is all.
Re Draper - bit of a result and sign that he trains like a maniac re the pars defect and shin issue
Both of these likely due to overuse and him being an adolescent , once he turns 19 yo this sort of thing shouldn’t effect him again
He might need a bit of a quiet year at times next year and definitely needs to be eased in as he’s sort of kid that will try and do everything and train too hard before he’s ready

He's actually the most different to anything we have and looks ready to go. doesnt have the pre existing injuries of the other 3 either

If indeed he is our guy and our medicos don't have an issue it might make other clubs a bit wary do you think?

Is it just me but I see a little bit of Nick Daicos in the way Jagga Smith plays?

He’s certainly a wizard in tight with great awareness, and makes very sound decisions. I think his fundamentals, which can be a bit chaotic at times, are sound and he will evolve really well in an AFL environment. My biggest worries are if he can ever get any size on that frame, I suspect not, and the Vic metro thing. This pick is really vital for us going forward, mainly because of our misses at the draft over the last decade, so the go home factor is more relevant than I would normally attribute to it.
I still think Lalor will be the star out of this draft but it’s looking less and less likely he’ll be there.

Only just onto this board since April but as our draft hand is now clearer, it's time.
I'm sorry if this has been asked previously.
What would this board think about a pick swap with GC. Our F1 for their 13 this year?
I understand the risks for both parties but also the rewards. Pick 4 &13 in a strong draft should compliment our trades and really set us up for the future. Pick 4 plus Dodson maybe?

Since StK hold 7 and 8, who then might they take at 2?

It depends on who was available at that pick. I don't think a future 1st on Dodson is worth it. But if there is a draft slider, yes

What's the most likely?
Will we take Draper, even though he seems to be mostly listed around pick 8-10?
Will we avoid Vic Metro again even though the best prospects at pick 4 look like being metro boys?
