Yeah I didn't mean to denigrate him at all, I like what he brings. But they've got 3 or 4 big names and not much else.

That could get worse if Butters is tempted by the huge offers he will no doubt receive
Butters going would be a humongous dent in their flag chase. And given there’s already a bit of talk about it, it seems very possible

The big Vic Clubs will come for him hard.

Port having a disastrous 2025, could see him depart, especially if Kenny is sacked.

IIRC Butters is out of contract end of next year?

Assuming you are talking about Hamish talking on Gettable this morning, was anyone else a little surprised he also talked up Tauru as a top 3-4 option (IIRC). Just thought that was a little strange and wondering if any hidden messaging behind it
Imagine the melts on here if we picked Tauru pick 4.
Bigfooty servers would implode.

Thought I'd better pop up my top 20 power ranks for tonight. Will do the remaining 20 tomorrow. It is so incredibly even and deep this draft.

The latest mock draft suggests that Dodson won't be picked in the top 30.

I said it before and I'll say it again, our decision to handcuff ourselves before the draft even starts by loading our list is just dumb. We could have been in the position to trade some future picks and pick up Dodson.
Would it be better for our future premiership chances to have Burgess on the list in 2025 or Dodson?

For me it's a huge fail.

On the other hand, if we grab Draper or Smith, then pull a surprise and trade in for Dodson, going back on our promise to rookie Burgess, I would consider our off season to be exceptional.

Jack Ough surely can't be a real name.

Seems like Levi Ashcroft impressed Hamish in their interview today

I know this post is tongue in cheek but I don’t see why we’d bid on Ashcroft. We won’t benefit from late picks being moved up. Yes it’d be benefitting Brisbane but it’d be disadvantaging several other clubs.
