Murray would be the smallest primary ruckman in the league from my understanding…

Whilst I hope this is the direction we look in, considering our serious lack of interest in drafting developing rucks under Hamish/Reid says we think it's a waste of a list spot.

And the fact we don't even bother employing a proper ruck coach.

Won’t happen but out of Burgess or Schoey given the list make up you’d be telling Schoey he can get on the beers and play country footy with his mates like he’s always wanted.

Maybe. On one hand we’re better of we another tall for list balance.

But I still have a tiny smother of hope Schoey can turn it around.

Where as Burgess has zero chance of being on the list in 2026.

In fairness, this is what Kangaroos tried.

I’ll admit they didn’t get anywhere near the returns Richmond did, but they went down trading anyone that wasn’t going to be there for their next premiership.

It’s not always that simple.

Richmond can probably endure being bottom next year and the year after. But year 3? Year 4? Players will get sick of losing and good ones will leave and fail to attract FAs. No one knows if their draftees will kick on.

They could be competing very soon like GWS or they could never dig themselves out of the hole like Gold Coast.

They may also struggle to recruit players given the number of first round picks. If these players all turn out to be gems, the salary cap will be under pressure as well.

Lets see how it unfolds but given it takes players 50 games, the Richmond supporters patience is going to be tested.
