Time for a new look set up in SA U18's, Bamford and Phillips are taking us nowhere.

The U18 talent pathways in SA are a joke.

The AFL needs to take the U18 comp away from the SANFL clubs.

Out with Tony Bamford in with Mark Clayton would be a good start.

Montgomery was alright that term. Herbert had been poor but one effort after a blue he ran 120m got the spoil and made a second effort tackle. Was good to see because he'd be well down.

Usual suspects still doing most of the grunt work, Camp x 2, Sharp, West I thought showed some good intensity and markefd well, Hargrave ok, Draper went missing a bit, did some good things but couple of nothing handballs. But I'd say every single SA player is playing below their ability atm, the entire team is lacking intent and courage to provide run.

WA really good, Rodriguez really good that term, Banfield impressive, Allan solid, Riddle some good marks, Boxshall non fussed solid at the contest never stops working and Petersen reads it well down back with his intercepting play.

SA junior development has been poor for a long time. History shows taking the next most highly rated Victorian midfielder or key forward instead of the SA player is the right choice more often than not

He's certainly a top 5-7 talent but he's playing worse this carnival than he played last year. The injury lay off is showing, as he goes missing. He's a fantastic midfielder when in full flight and would have no trouble taking him at 4.

They've completely rolled over here. Have to say for the players out there, this is the worst SA performance I've seen.

West's tap work is very good especially given he's basically a tall forward. How West and Barrett haven't been selected before this game is a joke. The fact West is a sub 3.00 20m runner and Barrett a sub 2.90 missed by Bamford and Phillips it seems.
