I think he's expressing an opinion?
I’m actually a bit surprised Armstrong isn’t talked about in the 5-10 range a bit more. Seems like a solid key forward with a booming and accurate left boot. I don’t particularly want him because of our dire need for mids but he’d be a great get at Melbourne’s first pick or the Tigers pick 6.

Allan returned for WA's match against South Australia in a 67-point victory over the Croweaters, recording 19 disposals, six tackles and five clearances in a role through midfield.

He would hold his place in the centre for the rest of the carnival to average 20.0 disposals, 3.7 clearances, 6.3 score involvements and 6.0 tackles from his trio of appearances, proving to be a viable midfield option for scouts to consider.

Flexing his power, speed and defensive traits in the engine room, Allan would soon return to Peel Thunder's side in the club's journey to the WAFL premiership, with the teenager playing 11 games at the state league level to cap off a stellar year with a flag.

Rotating through the middle, defence and on the wing, Allan was able to prove himself against experienced opposition while bringing the traits of a leader that saw him earn the respect of his teammates.

Local clubs West Coast and Fremantle will both have their eyes on Allan with draft selections in the teens, while Richmond's array of selections and Port Adelaide's place in the queue at 13th overall could see Allan land at either club.

He earns comparisons to the likes of AFL stars Hayden Young, Elliot Yeo and Josh Weddle, giving his ability to be a midfield-backline dual threat, offering run, power and aerial prowess.

Keep 7&8 unless pick 2 is involved. 2 inside 10 is far more probable of getting 2 elite players then keeping 1 inside 10 and pushing back to get 3 picks inside the first round.
Doesn't matter since they target players not picks. They take the next player on their list or might chance trading down if they think they can still get him at a profit. Or, they think they can get two of the next best.

I dunno, this guy just seems to scream StKilda to me.

It's just the mid-centric environment now days. On ability a HBF could be the best but he'll never go pick 1.

True. But does he look any worse than Cadman? I recall after the Bulldogs won the flag speedy half back flankers like Johansson were in vogue. McGrath went pick 1 and GWS sold the farm to get a pick for Ash. Now it’s all about speed on the ball out of the centre.

It means he can be as good as GAJ but as soon as he is drafted to the St Kilda Football Club, he becomes Doulton Langlands

Can someone clarify this for me? If we want to take four live picks, currently 7, 8, 32, 47 and we want to take 3 x NGA / FS picks, don’t we need picks to match other clubs bidding on our NGA guys? If we take the first four live picks our next pick is 85. How do we use that for Cole for example?
We have as many picks as list spots allow. Late picks usually come in a fair way and this year will be no exception. Ashcroft, Marshall, Kako, Campo boys (at least one), Lombard, they'll all have multiple picks that will be absorbed.

Having said that, if we have an early bid on one we can just go into deficit for that round in the following year. The cat amongst the pigeons for that, potentially very likely, strategy is that the points values are being overhauled next year. Despite this, it would only slide our F3 a few spots.

Just fits the mold RTB has made. There's others l like more, but take away the magic 6 and the next bunch is Reid, Hynes, Lindsay and this guy

19 disposals 10 score involvements 2 goals.

Like you can see it. It’s clear as day the tools he has and the fact he isn’t a natural mid but a defender coming in learning the craft and playing defensive midfield.

You can also see what would have dimple hard. The athleticism and size of Bont and the power of Warner.

But ball in hand is very rough. Up and unders. Misses targets.

Yeah it's a trend like the others. FWIW l reckon GWS would want their time again on Cadman though. I can still remember Trout jumping on Claverino because intercepting defenders were all the rage at the time.

Yeah he's a bit messy by hand but there's enough to work with.
