If Rawlings or SOS say anything to Twomey directly or otherwise, it will be an extension of their poker game.

SS: "We know you want Tauru and an extra pick, if you give us 2 we'll let you drop down to 8 and give give you 32 or our future first. Otherwise we'll just grab Tauru ourselves and grab a second tier mid at 8, we don't see the top tier being different enough."

BR: "We know you want one of the elite mids, we'll let you have 2 for picks 7 and 8, maybe we'll throw in a future second. Otherwise we'll just pick the best mid at 2, we don't care about getting another pick."

If I had to guess, I'd say we look to trade our 8 for a couple of teens and package one of them with 7 for 2 and F1 or F2. A compromise or we come to terms with picking Tauru and a second tier mid. I'm OK with either I suppose. I'm tempted to wait it out and see if Rawlings blinks and just takes Tauru at 2.

I’d be very happy if we picked Tauru and Travaglia, both look like absolute athletic guns. We can with some luck get back in and grab a mid who I’m sure would still be a very good player. When you deviate from best available with as many needs as we have overlooking future champs to reach for good honest players you’re in big trouble imo.

Anyway it most likely won’t happen so people need to chill and let the draft play out. I wasn’t a huge wrap for WM, he had fantastic disposal and could run but didn’t get a lot of it and now he’s looking like a superstar. Maybe just maybe the guys we pay to do this know a bit more than we do.

Mission said we were looking for players who would fit our game style, tell me those two kids don’t.

If we were legit players for Houston early then Travaglia makes sense.

And Tauru is an immediate Battle replacement.

Get back into the late 1st round via Richmond, Sydney or GWS to grab one of the sliding mids there and put the onus on Windy, Pou, Owens and Co to step the **** up on ball.

If Arie is legit then we might see more of Sinc & Nas up the group as well.

That's what Ross wants: A team full of hardworking runners that can play multiple roles.

you dont seriously believe that

Just got to hope North are playing games trying to get a better deal for 2 after totally undermining their draft strategy by letting everyone know they wanted Tarau in the first place on top of paying pick 25 for Caleb Daniel. They have painted themselves into a corner reach for Tarau because that is what their list needs or pick a player they have no need for but is best available.

Very frustrating that their ineptitude is what is going to cost us

Either that or Adelaide go with Langford and Melbourne then take Tarau leaving Draper for us

Tarau and Travaglia both deserving of being 7 & 8 just ignores the gapping hole in our list
The ineptitude will be on the saints if they don't trade up.

North has said all along it would pick best available at 2. They can't control what the Click bait media and keyboard warriors say.

Yes Tauru would be a a good pick if a club was willing to help split our pick.

The Saints will be left with HBF types at 7. Wouldn't surprise me if saints do a deal on draft night with us to nab a LALOR /FOS/DRAPER/SMITH type.

Going to watch all your home games in WA are we ?

Not sure why the melts . If all the top mids are gone , what are we supposed to do ? It’s clear that our picks fall right on the edge of that tier of elite mids , it’s unfortunate, we need mids.

But if we rate tobie than a mid , then it’s the right choice . To be honest the only other mid at that range that I think could match travaiglia is Reid. If they don’t like him then so be it .. taking Lindsey or Allan instead would be a reach

I know they are the wrong picks as far as we are all concerned as we all want mids, but carrying on like Tauru and Travaglia are automatic busts is a bit much.

Still if we select these two it will be more disappointing than the ladt time we had 7 and 8.

I think it will be about par with last time, but, we won't know for a few years if it's a bust. That's if Cal is right.

We have enough currency to land a pick to get us a mid.

The honest answers if we don’t, is that it’s on the club.

If whats left is what Cal's mocked, I'm taking Allan and Lindsay. OR I'm splitting for 4 picks in the teens. I would not be happy or excited with TRav and Tauru as our picks. IDC how much ppl rate tauru's potential and Trav's running game.

I can understand the Tauru pick, he reads it well, but a lot of his highlights are of him zoning off and being the spare, I wonder how well he will hold up in 1v1 situations.

I would be much happier if we reached a bit for Lindsay than took Travaglia, just looks like a better player overall. Travaglia feels like a bust.
