"The club’s 1–4-year players will return on Monday 11 November, while the 5+ year players are set to return on Monday 25 November."
As far as I’m aware this is correct…I’ll confirm asap

Trainor not even invited to Night 1 of the draft
That just means he didn’t cross the threshold of number of clubs who invited him. Not that the won’t be taken.

But it probably firms his draft range to 15-20

Basically everything comes back to Higgins, so we should smite him. 😄
So this gets mentioned a lot (usually in a joking manner) but didn’t a Blues player (Kennedy?) miss a relatively easy shot in front of the sticks before this which would’ve put them far enough in front to make a win unlikely for us!

I’d rather blame the Carlton dude! 😊

Time trial will be on the first day back for both groups

Cole, Hofman, Trainor would replenish our backline in one go. Cole FB and Trainor CHB with Schooner & The Hof as rotating 3rd defender would set us up nicely.
Trainor is not a CHB. He is a 3rd tall because he can't man an opponent and you'd probably prefer him to be leveraging his intercepting and offensive threat anyway due to his foot skills

The way I see it is:

Hofmann replaces Webster
Cole replaces Doug
Trainor replaces Battle
Wilkie remains

Hopefully Caminiti can fit in somehow

Bloos fans tears after the match gives me so much joy.

Agree, I think the whole FB/CHB thing is a bit outdated, Josh Battle played CHB at times and then loose defender other times. I think Trainor can do that same thing.

Oh 100% but we need someone who can play CHB when the matchup isn't right for him - which for Battle's case was Wilkie. Hofmann at 190cm won't be able to do that from what I've seen

My birthday…

Don’t worry about gifts everyone, I’ll take it in the form of a really great early draw. 🤣
lets see,lets assume we get top 6 teams 2x doubleups,middle 6 3x doubleups,bottom 6 1x double up

port at home because we cant beat sa teams & lions for double ups, doesnt matter that we doubled up against both in 2024

hawks blues freo, hawks and freo, maybe blues look set to explode,so lets have double ups against them

crows at home because we cant beat sa teams, anytime anywhere, even in china

theres my tips for our double up games

no marquee time slots, because we are the saints and equalisation is a word we(the afl)like to throw around, but its a load of bullshit, maybe a token friday night game and a couple thursday night games during bye rounds & we are encouraged to be thankful for those

Oh for sure.

I just wonder who Carlton traded up to get.

My initial assumption was FOS given the connection with Walsh but Draper could be the one given:

They traded up to get in front of Adelaide.
They need a player who will impact immediately.
They lack speed in the midfield.
They want to play Cripps forward more.

Draper ticks all the boxes of being able to make a genuine change to the way Carlton set up on ball.

I rekon they are gonna snipe him from the Crows leaving Adelaide with Langford.

Then it's down to what Melbourne do at 5.

They reportedly love Reid and they are keen on both Armstrong and Tauru. Assuming North are taking Tauru then the Dees could probably be comfortable letting Armstrong through to pick 9 BUT they run the risk of the Saints grabbing him as "best available" or trading down with another team that rates him.

So do they lock up their tall at 5 and take whoever slides out of Reid, Smith & Smillie at 9?

Richmond - Lalor
Richmond - FOS
Carlton - Draper
Adelaide - Langford
Melbourne - Armstrong
North - Tauru
St Kilda - Smith
St Kilda - ???

There is every chance we are getting Jagga Smith at pick 7 with a choice of Smillie, Reid, Allan or a trade at pick 8.
Jagga and Smillie both being at Pick 7 and I'll need the jaws of life to get my pants off.

Lots to disagree about

nah turn this off when he is picking armstrong at 8,some guys do these things picking for their own club & hoping other clubs take wrong players to suit their clubs wants, this has to be the case here, ming has just been given that big extension, dont want to hear about kpf when we have other pressing needs

I'll end it all if we draft Reid and Armstrong with 7&8, Dylan the only guy worth listening to. Jonty bloke is a donkey
We already have three young players that have all played their best football at Full Forward: King, Sharman and Caminiti.
Full Forward is probably the only position on the field we have completely covered. Surely Armstrong would be well down our list of preferences.
