Wait what. Power trades 13 and 29 for 15 and 37?

For the majority of year it was FOS, Draper, Smillie & Trainor, then Smith came in, then Langford. Reid on the fringes and Lalor was often spoken of an unknown smokey around pick 5-8. Then Trainor dropped out, Tauru came in - but overall the same guys apart from those 2 talls switching are in the conversation.
By the mid champs Trainor had called into that 5-8 range.

There was noise from Twomey that Reid and Armstrong would go top 5.

But none of that has eventuated. They all stagnated whilst Lalor off not even playing has risen consistently.

I still believe 8 is a good pick. It’s just not a good pick specifically for us and I think it’s best to split and try get 2 of these blokes

For a kid that dominated games in the back end of the season (posted a few game clips last night)

He is still very raw.

You can see the appeal and why the wild rise is occurring.

It's the negative and the positive. He's raw as **** and only scratched the surface but he's less exposed as well. He's bit of a gamble but the possibilities are endless. He's the exact type that stars if everything goes right. He's eye catching and different. He's like the dream we had for Matty Allison, a smooth moving, fast KP sized utility that can do most things well.

Or he busts like Jarrad Grant

Based off that article from Adelaide. The lastest projections are as follows.

1. Lalor
2. Jagga Adelaide or FOS North
3. Draper Carlton or Jagga Carlton
4. Tauru North or Draper Adelaide
5. FOS/Langford Melbourne or Tauru Melbourne
6. Smillie Richmond
7. Langford/Fos St Kilda

I'd be going off like a frog in a sock if we end up with Langford/FOS and Reid at 7+8

There's no way FoS gets to us when Richmond has 6. They are tossing up between he and Lalor at 1, so they aren't going to pick Smillie over him at 6 surely.

It's funny how perception of value seems to vary with time. FOS had a very ordinary and injury interrupted year and has hardly lost any value. Armstrong dropped off for no reason. Hotton the knee has substantially effected value. Some have come in and some have drifted when nothing has changed and no more footy has been played.

I'm not sure if some is mind games or it's just a weird thing where you start to lose your memory of how good some of these guy's seasons were and you start to value the intangibles and start dreaming about how there progress in the future.

The one way I wouldn't mind trading back is if it's to Richmond for their 10 and something else good.

Having said that, probably the only way they do that is if there's a significant player still on the board, in which case we should take them.

Elwood Peckett as a Cat B rookie

Pedantic (and possibly wrong) but I don't think you can Cat B list undrafted F/S prospects, only NGA? And we are already at the max quota of 2 with McLennan and O'Connell. Plenty of Cat A spots so not an issue in any case.

He also thinks GWS, with a list that already has too many quality small forwards to fit into a best 22, will take Hannaford. Surely not. Can't read much into anything he writes.

Knightmare Lite… really?!
