Gotta love all the speculation… Marc McGowan (The Age 15/11) has Saints taking FOS & Travaglia/Allan

Christ Jayman. You are so far behind.

We are all onto the Herald Sun & Adelaide advertiser saying the crows want Jagga at 2 and we land Langford at 7.

FOS is a laid back country boy from Koroit

Absolute powerhouse club down here mate. Unbelievable win 7 in a row (would've been 9 if not for COVID). All home grown talent from a small town. Played footy against Finns Brothers who are quite good players as well.

I watched Finn last year in a game against Warrnambool as a 16 year old and dominated. The only kid I've seen dominate like that down here was Hugh McLuggage.

What a spot to be in to either get Langford who was the most consistent top end player this season. Or O'Sullivan whose been the clubhouse leader for pick 1 for the majority of the last 18 months.

If we got Callaghan and LDU or one of them
Which draftees would suit our team the best?
Callaghan is very similar to Langford

LDU similar to Lalor/Travaglia but not by much so I think we can take anyone knowing that LDU could play alongside them if he comes

He said he and his family are die hard swan supporters and went to the grand final

Herald Sun running with

  • Crouch settlement still expected.
  • won’t be trading pick 7
  • Exploring trades of pick 8 for 2 teens picks as it will give us a better balance with selections
  • Listed Murphy Reid as one of the star midfielders we want(with the other 6)
So basically, like all the other journos, reading this thread,

Look at it as player targeting rather than the potential pick differential. Somewhere around p20 there may be a player we rate at 11 so it becomes worthwhile. If there's not then we won't do it.
But I’m referring to the comments that they hope we do it. I agree it will depend on the player, but in their head it’s the fave player falling that far. Leaving the actual name aside, it’s madness.

So far as punters here are concerned, l hate to be boring but it's just supporter involvement. You'll notice the old timers are non committle which comes from years of realising there's a big difference between some highlight videos and actual recruiting. But yes, it is madness.

So it’s looking like

1. Lalor (Richmond)
2. Smith (Adelaide)
3. FOS/Draper (Carlton)
4. Tauru (North)
5. FOS/Draper/Langford (Melbourne)
6. Smillie (Richmond)

I’m expecting one of Draper or Langford to fall to us. Most likely Draper.
I just cant see FOS sliding out of the top 5.

agreed, tho while we can't always know who will step up under the rigors of the big league, we can still spot a GOP :eyes:

Just found out that Harry Armstrong was in our next gen academy

Explains our 'interest' in him. Hopefully nothing genuine in it
