In the mix will be Smillie, Allan, Travaglia, Lindsay…a lot will depend on whether Tauru is taken early by North but I’ll have a crack:

I think Travaglia will thrive in the right AFL environment, kid can run all day and a great kick which RTB would love and I think his reading of the play is outstanding. Not seen much talked about him on here maybe due to the want for pure mids, but i would not be upset if we picked him at 8.

Yea I’m a massive fan. In the right environment I think he’ll be a star.

Most phantoms have him being selected by us at pick 8. Not sure how we rate him but he seems to be at about that range.

He’s a jet, I’ve had him in my top 10 all season, not that anyone cares but I posted that a month or so ago.

We also need to remember that these are babies in a footy sense, if they have elite AFL attributes we should be picking them if we have the draft capital.

Was replying to the thought that if the top 4 went the way of the Dee's ITK. Then technically it would be along the lines of who ever is left in the Langford, Smillie or FOS trio.
As their ITK says it would be out of Langford or FOS for them. If they went Langford - long shot as it is - will Tigers still go Smillie?

Most likely outcome seems to be Langford or FOS and Travaglia.

Tigers appear to be keen on Smillie at pick 6 and there is a connection there with staff and his junior club at Park Orchards.

All of this is conjecture, but it is possible that Demons (based on some reporting) could have both Langford and FOS there at pick 5 (6). Whoever they don’t take could then fall to Saints.

Seems improbable, but the drafting order can become less predictable when clubs become wedded to drafting specific players or rule out drafting specific players. We will find out whether this is the case with both Tauru and Smillie.

Heard him interviewed yesterday. Yes he is a fan, however he’s spent time at Richmond and played with their VFL side. And of course he is a talent = to Smillie.

He does have a connection to the club he’s followed all his life.

And it does give him something to balance out the Park Orchards Smillie angle.

That’s all I’m saying.
