Happy to withdraw my comments re: McKercher a couple pages back, looked at his stats and they're bloody impressive for a first year player.

I tend to watch every game for the first third of the season and once saints look cooked i lose a bit of interest. Was judging him on the games I saw him which weren't all that impressive, but looks like he went on a tear mid season.

Man opposition fans are so triggered around this place

Don’t tell North fans that they won’t get a bounty for 2 or their F1 or that Tauru is a decent prospect

Richmond fans at pick 6 same shit if you say everyone is mocking them to Smillie.

It’s kind of fun sitting at 7 and just stirring the pot
You got carded last day of trading, after a draft period one as well? Watch out

Took a very quick look at Travaglia. I like that he gets a bit of it. Seems like a tough nut and obviously an amazing runner. Question mark looks like kicking. Not bad but not amazing.

Tbf he played half back when he was going big - hence the high kick-to-handball ratio. Same seagull role as Sheezel in his first year

McKercher is an absolute gun in the making. Needs to work on his oppposite foot but his left is sublime (his Sonic nickname suits him). Arie teamed up with him last Xmas break for some skill and running sessions, hopefully he’s going to do it again

Colby won Roos time trial last week (1-4 year players)...if Arie can get anywhere near him then he's in for a big season

Open question, who would you prefer for the Saints, Langford or Smillie?
Langford looks like a Dangerfield type with peak Stringer aspects ( not comparing to either just who he reminds me of).

Smillie could be our Bont or Cripps but has a higher bust potential.
If Smillie is the only one left and he comes off, the recruiters look like geniuses.

My only question mark on Smillie is how much he wants it. Skill wise he looks unreal. Our young crop sound extremely motivated and ambitious. I think joining that group and buying into the beliefs would do wonders for him. Langford looks good don't get me wrong but I'm on the Smillie train.

You’d think Arie will be played as a high half back..setting up our attacking moves with his excellent foot skills!
I reckon thats just the surface. I can see him taking over Mase's wing role if he gets fit. Maybe even a bit of centre-bounce time for him. One thing I know is I'm not gonna accept him just being a key defender.
