Open question, who would you prefer for the Saints, Langford or Smillie?
langford
with langford my mind is at-got him in the bank, now split 8 and other assets into 2-3 more first round picks(15 16 21),then find a quiet corner and pull the head off it with the most excited waxk ever, then calmed down watch us grab the other 3 on the 2nd night,

with smillie im just not as sure,my mind is at-get reid for insurance at 8,grab best available at 32,then the other 3 the following night & shut up shop fairly sastisfied

I struggle to understand Adelaide supposedly preferring Jagger to Draper..
I agree I think Draper is a much better choice, both on talent and for Adelaide as a club. But this draft is a bit weird like that - every one of the projected top 7 picks have a claim to be the number one pick and at the same time have an asterisk against their name as to why they might not be

If somehow someway we had Smillie and Draper fall to 7/8 I genuinely think I might cry tears of joy.
It seems pretty much impossible at this stage but you never know!

There just doesn't seem to be another bolter aside from Tauru.

Looks like one of the top mids and then wait and see what we do with 8. Travaglia, Allan, Reid, trade down seem the most likely.

In the most minuscule of chances, if crows go for Jagga, North go Tauru, Dees go Armstrong (which I'm begging happens either way), and Tiges go Langford. My dreams for this draft are wide open and we can pick Draper and Smillie w 7/8. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Just had a thought

We all know of Xavier Lindsay's game in the U18s Champs Grand Final

This was played at Marvel Stadium

I would not be surprised to learn that we rate Lindsay higher than other clubs since our home ground seems to suit his running/kicking/skillful game to a tee

Seems like the kind of nuance that would result in a bolter

Would you put Lindsay higher than Murphy? He certainly has greater run and elite kick.

Mentioned we were keen on him months ago

I understand what this thread is for and I enjoy it as much as all of us that love shooting the Sh*t about our club.

I've talked about Higgo's glorious, beautiful snap. before. I'm on a batch weekend with wife away so last night I watched the Geelong game (Rd 22).

That was a putrid first half though more from the first 15 mins in the first and a 15 min mid quarter spell in the 2nd.

Watching the game there were two game changers, one a regular in an AA back in Cal Wilkie and 1st Year, Darcy Wilson. Then a late cameo from Garcia.

12 months ago we were waiting on pick 18 in the draft. That pick 18 changed a game against a prelim finalist that just lost.

I love the shuffling of players in phantoms but my goodness 17 clubs missed a gem (and yes others got equal or better because of their picks but they still didn't get Darcy).

I'm really excited with what we get because if this really is a "super draft" then oh boy.

I'm hoping that picks 7 and 8 gets us two slightly (theoretical) better players than Darcy so hope our recruiting team goes for it.

P.S I blame that 2nd half for our missing "5 and 6". WTF were Geelong doing?
