Bring home Draper, Smillie and Reid and all of a sudden we have an incredible young group of mids.

I feel like our first round pick next year (definitely a good chance its top 5 before bids) is worth a pick inside the top 15 this year. Maybe that deal where giants get pick 13 gives us something to target with that pick?

You'd be surprised if we don't have 3 first rounders at some point surely?

I didn't listen to the whole thing today but I didn't hear Murphy Reids name being spoken about in the top 10.

I think our best chance is to grab a slider, Draper/Langford please and thank you - then split 8.

With the other picks we'd get, I'll bet there's a couple of Reid, Lindsay, Trainer, Hynes etc available - that's the play. Clubs seem keen as mustard on Travaglia, I really don't think he fits our needs but a bidding war is just what we need for him.

I'm dubious of our talk of turning our F1 on its own into another first. Sure we'll try, but North, GC, Ess etc are surely ahead of us in the pecking order and not all clubs will look to trade out.

Our best chance is to include our F1, 32 and 8 for the 3 GWS picks. Either way, I don't think F1 on its own will get us another first rounder this year.

Travaglia, Allan, Lindsay, Hotton all flankers only with some potential to play mid one day. We already have Mclennan, Hastie, Shoenmaker, O’Donnell, Hoffman (to be drafted), as long as we avoid them and stick to either genuine mids and key position/rucks, then all good.

The difference with us is that we have pick 32 that we can package up with a F1 to potentially buy back in.

They take 1.6.10 & 11 in this Draft and trade out 2 of 18.20 & 23 for F1.
If above happens they should be looking at who will provide them with the best F1 picks. Saints would be in their thoughts I would think

Lets hope he is not bid on too early, but he is a much better prospect than he has been previously rated. I watched a lot of his footy this year and believe he will become an exceptional player. He has a bit of mongrel too him awsell.

I reckon Lindsay is a monty IF there are no major sliders and we chose to use pick #8. Can run and probably the best kick in the draft alongside Langford. An outside midfielder/wingman with plenty of scope for improvement going forward.

The Reid can’t run myth has been debunked. If anything his earlier season yo-yo test results suggest the absolute opposite

I agree with that but I suspect given the expectation he slides past us that our recruitment team think otherwise which is a shame because I really wanted him but reading the tea leaves he will slide past our picks

Feels like the only way we take Reid is if we get a teens pick. Unlikely at 8 given the talk around other names
