I would do it in a heartbeat not sure about the rest of the self destructing scoundrels in here though.

We could use 8 to take Allan or split to gain back an F1 and a later first anyway.

Would you give us your F2 back? Probably makes it a little better for fans to swallow

If Twomey’s mock is correct. When we are up at pick 7, can we trade 7 + F1 to North for FOS? North then take Tauru.

This is standard practice in the major US sports.

You can’t trade a pick post selection like the US.

Only before North selects a player.

It just hit me that the easiest way to get a mid to fall would be to trade our future second rounder for the crows 2x third rounders

IMO the most likely scenario if picks 2&4 are swapped is:
Adelaide - Jagga
Carlton - Draper
North - FOS

So we could be back to square one, minus our F2

We would have to consider that, but our focus has been on THIS draft and getting these players now.
We strongly want NM to take Tauru before us so that one of the available top six mids falls to us at pick #7.
If North take one of those mids at pick #2 then the odds of one of those mids falling to us falls dramatically.
We will take Tauru if he is available with our second pick (pick #8) - giving clubs like NM time to make outrageous bids for our pick #8 (North's F1 and F2 would be tempting but there would not be any F2 back).
We could bid for both Essendon and GC Academy picks, after they match, either club could offer us 2 x F1 for pick #8
