Mate I am just an amateur going off highlights here, so I will 100% defer to those that know more.

But when Stav posted a bunch of Trav videos a few pages back that solidified my thoughts. Check out his game vs SA. Handballing is genuinely elite (especially at speed), and maybe gives me some hope he could be a mid (maybe). I understand what people see, and why he will be picked inside the top 15.

But watch that 5 minutes of kicking. A lot of it with time and space off half back (and not at the coalface). That's got me nervous
If we pick him up tonight I’ll watch him closely at training, as I do with all new players!

Great summation…only thing I differ on is Travaglia’s kicking, he went at 82.5% kicking efficiency for Vic Country this year!
Last year won the B & F for Bendigo Pioneers as an under ager with Harley Reid playing for them!!
Kids a gun & has a lot of clubs that like him.
He may start off as a half back but when he puts on more size will be a terrific inside/outside mid.

We might have long term plans to improve our midfield and I guess we wont know until after tonight? The list management team have done a great job over the past few years so lets hope that continues.

Travaglia may well become a gun but my concern is how many half back flankers do we need and play on one list. Perhaps the club know that NAS will ask to leave after next year - if so Travaglia makes a lot more sense. Travaglia may become a midfielder down the track, but he will be playing across the HBF for a few years firstly.

We need to be mindful how taking Travaglia will stymie the development of players like Shoenmaker, Hastie, Hofmann, McLennan or OConnell who all have futures. Webster is nearing retirement but these kids need opportunity to improve. Stocker may well become a list clogger and a wasted list spot.

I can understand the club not moving up IF Davies-Uniak has committed to us next year, but otherwise this draft will become a list balance disaster and put us behind another year! Again I doubt that is 100% garaunteed but if not the list management team need to work their arses off tonight to find alternatives.
