Have you actually looked at other clubs list? Windy has proven nothing, as has Henry. Showed glimpses but no star. Wilson is awesome, so is Pou. Neither is a contested ball pig.

Carroll is completely unproven and the fact you mention him as something to be excited about is frightening.

We continue to build a list of defenders and outside players, whilst we get abused by teams with stronger midfields. This isn't that hard.

Take 1 of the 2 if you think they are the best prospect available, but to take 2 players that are not naturally midfielders is beyond ridiculous.

Same thing again and again.

When we took for needs, in Paddy, it backfired horribly.
We had to take best available. We need to improve the list everywhere. You think Wilkie, Webster, Douglas are around forever. In the meantime we do have other players still developing into mids, like Windy. Not like 2 picked tonight would have automatically jumped into best 22.

Our midfield more than held its own in the final third of the season, when we came right for injuries, and that without Crouch all year.

I don't see any other club consistently ignoring mids the way we do. What would they know, we are the smart ones I guess.

Who at the club was there even 4 years ago? They can hardly be responsible for what happened 12 years ago.

I watched an inferior midfield to what we have right this second beat Sydney, Carlton, Geelong, Essendon, and lose by two points to Port in the last eight weeks.

You bag players like Windy but think an 18 y.o kid will change out midfield prospects. it is absolutely delusional to think so, but don't let me upset your silly pity party, it is hilariously entertaining.

We weren’t that great at winning clearances but we were just about the best at limiting the opposition clearance numbers, so we weren’t smashed. We’ve also improved and hopefully have a few more fit and available.
