4-5 years at 800 is fair. But if freo offer a million a year. He's losing a million over the term of the deal.

Big ask to drop that

You offer the security of the extra year etc.

And if says no?

There is a point where you trade but I’d be exhausting every avenue before then. We will regret it if we do. Said before happy to pay the overs, this is one case I’d be more than comfortable if the club did

Yeah we need to keep the core guys together, they all seem to get along

Would be rolling out the red carpet for Sam Darcy if Dogs sort out Jamarra. Just replace the name from Naughton, then Jamarra to Darcy on the 10 year deal from last year.

Easy
Grab Busslinger whilst we're at it

I’d take Darcy over all of them he’s the best of the lot and it’s not close

Would be interesting if Logan did choose Fremantle
If Freo had a decent year they would need to pay up, Freo currently have Collingwood and Ports first rounders.
Swans could end up with 5 first rounders (we currently hold 2)

He hasn’t yet played 10 games & has kicked a grand total of 6 goals.

How on earth do you draw a conclusion that he’s better (“and it’s not close”) than Naughton and JUH?

I trust my judgment a key that can genuinely play both ends is as rare as can be. Would dead set offer the farm for him.

A bit of a hint on the possible next contract extension in Lachie's article on Rowy:

"And his signing could be the first of many dominoes to fall as the Swans look to keep the core of their young nucleus together. Errol Gulden will likely be the next major priority, with the Swans going back and forth on the details of his deal for the best part of a month."

And lo! it came to pass. Rowy has signed.
Rowbottom signs on for four more

It's reassuring to hear we've been going back and forth with Guldens management for a month. Means we're on it and the are reciprocating. Likely just ironing out the finer details. Hopefully not far off an agreement.
