You try and do as much as possible to keep Logan.

I dont know how much the club rates him internally probably not as high as some do on here.

If I was Sydney's list manager Logan can wait and I would be meeting Gulden every day

So if Freo and West Coast come knocking what would you do?
Who would play forward next year?

If he wants to go and they want to pay massive overs say a million for 8 years then good luck to him.

I'll try and find some other players and use my cap better .

I like Logan, he is promising but he can also easily be the next Sam Reid level player or even worse.

I'd be hoping he will sign and develop with the team , decent coin for short term and see how he goes .

If they want to risk it **** it try to maximise him leaving

I already have Amartey and Mclean longer term.

I am not sure any of the 3 are a number one forward, sometimes Logan looks more like a Robin than a Batman

Amartey isn't up to it, McLean is a good back up but he'll never be the main man in a successful squad

Im not sure Logan is either sorry

I agree Mclean isn't the number one star forward but what he is we need.

Amartey yeah not sold either, but the club has signed him already so you asked who plays forward if Logan leaves, then I guess those 2.

I am just talking if we have to pay massive overs just so he will stay the **** it, got to be a line somewhere.

I prefer we keep him absolutely

My guess based on nothing but gut feel is Logan signs for 2 years then looks for a massive pay day , and either farks off or stays long term . Will back himself to be a super star
If his manager is any good you’d think that would be preferable. When he does reach 25/26 years of age then seek the big long term offers. If he’s good enough he”ll command them by then.

Club on the other hand would like to lock him in now to a long term deal as it may be cheaper long term.

Our core group of stars are all around the same age, we'd be going backwards

Logan averaging 1.5 a game and 2.3 marks per game in i50. Laat year averaging 0.8 contested marks

For context:

Mckay 3.6 - 26yo
Curnow 3 - 27 yo
Hogan 3 - 29yo
Dixon 2.6 - 33yo
JUH 2.6 - 21yo
M. King 2 - 23yo
Hawkins 1.6 - Geelong old
Amiss 1 - 20yo
Cadman 1 - 20yo
Treacy 1 - 21yo

At 21yo Mckay was averaging 1.6 and Curnow 1.9

I am gonna be advocating for a bit of patience for the young fella.
He tracks very favourably with KPP at the same age, with plenty to improve on too.

Yeah get to free agency and walk to wherever

See if West Coast can rebuild and go there

If you pay Logan massive overs you are losing other players though, the cap is not infinite .

No good having Logan Mcdonald if you lose Gulden or Warner etc

Who said we have to loose Gulden or Warner? We offered Naughton 10 years, not sure it's in that bad shape

I get the feeling gulden and the club have already agreed to terms, and we are just waiting for the perfect time to announce

Where did you get that feeling?

I would have though after lady drugs and Wicks plus a dumb loss the time is right for good news 😂

Did we? Did the club say that or the media?

Did we offer that knowing who might go soon? eg Mcdonald?

And if we think Mcdonald is that great why did we go after Naughton?

But look if we can sign them all and fit in the cap fine, maybe parker and rampe free up space

Because we need a FF and a CHF?

Maybe to replace Amartey?

Maybe future proofing?

No idea

Hey none of us have any idea, especially in this thread 😂

Sometimes wish you had the list of salaries like the NBA

Understand that but you wouldn't offer Naughton that long without it being in a good place.
We did lock in alot of players on long term deals.
Heeney, Mills and Papley may have got unders

Isn't Heeney one of the highest paid in the comp apparently?

I can remember if we chased Naughton prior to getting Adams and Grundy etc

But yes that's a fair assumption otherwise or glass half empty we knew Logan was always going , so had space

Heeney was offered alot by North, he may have had a few big years.
No idea
