Beautiful day. Hope it's a really close, exciting game. Think I'm just going to back the team that's behind until the final quarter and by then I'll know who I want to win! Love the way Heeney, Papley (well, don't exactly love him but he's great fun to watch), Warner, Gulden and co play when they're on. But have a bit of a soft spot for the Lions ever since Hodge moved up there when I started watching a lot of their games. Difficult choice so I'll just sit back and hope for a great game.

Apparently the sprint heats weren’t televised.

For anyone wondering, Weddle was slow off the starting line, put his head down in the first 50m to catch back up to the rest but didn’t look like he was prepared to exert himself to try and run down a qualifying position. Jogged the rest of it.

Don’t think he injured himself. Was laughing it off with a few others after.

Channel 7 HD is bloody awful. The promo material is all artificially sharpened and de noised so it looks like a cartoon. The live stuff is blurred. It’s a disgrace. This is the biggest sporting event in AU. WTF?

Going to be an interesting game. Two teams who have been slow starters in this years finals. (Aside from Brisbane playing an awful Carlton team).

Swans have been terrible starters all year and the best way to beat them is to smash them early. Not sure lions have the game style to do it though.

Should be a close game with a hectic finish. Both teams are notorious chokers though so one side could easily just not turn up.
