He could lose weight and be less fit? He could gain weight and be fitter?

Don't think the weight they publish changing by a few kg's tells us much. Finishing 5th in their time trial is probably more relevant than his exact weight. There was a poster here, forgotten who sorry, hinting Steele had had an incident last preseason that was having an effect on him last year. They never really elaborated though.

Are the height/weight stat's even accurate anyway? I know over here in Rugby it's a running joke what measurements they publish. Some players admit to putting something different each year. It's not taken seriously.
Really just using Jack as an example.

Afl is a massive business involving billion dollar media deals now and players being paid multiple times the average punters wage . We need to go the other way , official weights and heights. I guess it just comes down to how professional the sport wants to get in comparison to NFL, NBA etc.

I wouldn’t believe info from anyone who throws the ball backwards either 😉

That rules out quite a few AFL players then!

I can kinda see the point about withholding U18 players details, they are technically minors after all, and don't need the world knowing their exact weight (which can change quickly in a growing body anyway). But for professional athlete's in the AFL it's wierd to hide it.

My boy Matty Crouch has mended his ways 😊

I believe the recruiting managers are one of the main groups against the sensorship .
wanting to monitor growth spurts , weight gains over timeframe etc.

Would have thought they would still get that info? It's just not being made public?

I hope we don't have to give our weight and height to enter one of the leagues. I'm not saying which one is me.

The skin fold test was scrapped from the assessment entirely .Maybe other info just not being made public. I don’t really believe there would be one aspiring AFL player good enough to be drafted who would object to accurate height and weight being reported. As for AFL listed players not having correct height and weight reported due to “sensitivities”
doesn’t wash with me either. That push is coming from elsewhere.

My theory is it’s a bigger AFLW problem (and rightfully so, being non full time etc and more at threat of body shaming) and they decided it’s better to apply it across as a equality thing

Having said that I’ve no idea if they prev disclosed the women’s weights so if not I’m way off

The equality should have gone the other way.

Weigh the girls.
Force them to shower together like prisoners of war, just as the men have since the 19th century. Best way to form a bond with your team mates.

No one is forcing them to play if they can't handle the criticism of being over weight for the sport.
The fact its been carried over to the AFL is a laughing stock.

I have had Kayo since day dot ….. $360 PY , but is about to be increased to $420 PY

The current fee includes 3 x licenses

Can anyone enlighten us whether the cheaper Club / Kayo package ( $256) also includes the 3 x licenses??

R0 is not counting in our season …. but the R0 score will go towards any price increases or decreases

Because R0 doesn’t count …. the players from the 8 clubs playing in R0 will have one less SC score for the season

Those players will also have an early bye B4 their main bye ….. so 2 x byes for those players

Hmm annoying. Weird stuff here from AFL. Is it best 18 for every bye round?

They all appear to be Kayo Basic so 2 subsciptions/Licenses

The GWS seems to be the best deal at $231 for 12 months and also includes an Invitation to quarterly Members Connect calls (with GIANTS players, coaches and executive) So we can actually tell Jelly he is a kent for burning Judd_Magic again.

Also has Priority access to purchase finals tickets in weeks 1 to 3** and priority three access to purchase Grand Final tickets**
Remember GWS should have beaten the Pies in the prelim last year so if the make the grand final you are almost guaranteed a ticket as they only have 5 members....

It’s not as huge a deal is it then? We should be fine in the early byes as only a few teams miss so not a massive effect. Or am I reading it wrong?
Best, if you must choose a R0 player …. you only choose one from the early 4 x Bye rounds

Remember you could be at a disadvantage over teams that don’t choose R0 players …. although best 18 waters that potentially down a bit

The R0 players all have early byes (to R6). With best 18 in play it’s not a huge deal grabbing them based on that where needed for guns/rookies… I think.
