So why does Bevo play him as that?
1. Naughton
2. Darcy
3. Ugle-Hagan
How many days until trade period?Hawk supporter as a kid
Would walk in and be our best mid, if not 2nd
Dogs a rabble
We would offer truckloads of $$$$
If Smith moves and DOESN'T come to us, that would be the one that hurts the most (McKay, Lynch, etc)
Hard to disagree with this. I was initially bullish on Ward, McDonald and Butler but all three are struggling. Butler can’t play football. Finger twirler has been found out Ward was a pissweek so called “safe option” top ten pick. Not my words the clubs. Nowhere near it. DGB another top ten bust. Chol is a cat, unfit and lazy. GC has top ten talent pretty much on every line and then some. There is no splitting of picks this year. Next years first for smith or no deal. Sam needs to change something and quickly, starting to loose the playersWe are at an all time low list wise. Going up against a team like GC tonight full of first round picks and were a team full of MSD picks and other teams rejects. Im not as bullish on our draft picks as others (bar weddle). Our top 10 picks look the worst of the lot. Mountain of work to do before Tassie come in and draft is compromised, at least now is a good time to suck.
I'm with you. We have to keep them.We are in absolutely no position to trade two firsts for Taylor - if he'd even consider coming of course.

Well saidTonight was BAD.
But 6 days ago Josh Ward showed his class and Josh Weddle had an absolute shocker.
It happens with young players.
Ward, MacDonald, Mackenzie and Weddle will all be hitting their prime around the same time. It's hard to be patient, but in 24 months time we can make more definitive calls on how we view all 4 of them.
By the time they're reaching 22/23 years of age is when consistency becomes a non-negotiable.
Disagree regarding Ward - we really do love the safe pick. I was hoping we wouldn't take him during his draft year, and he's done nothing since to make me think we made the right choice. Very underwhelming and incredibly soft. The ease at which he gets pushed off the ball is embarrassing.Tonight was BAD.

Tells me everything I need to know.Disagree regarding Ward - we really do love the safe pick. Come the back end of the season, those players, plus Day, Watto, Ginni and Moore are going to be a fun looking group to play with imo.Tonight was BAD.

It's impressive that you manage to bash ward in every thread.Disagree regarding Ward - we really do love the safe pick. Probably a little longer…Because it’s been in play for 18 months already.
Trade and delist everyone and start all over again. The club is wasting our time here.
Always appreciate your insight no way especially after tonight he is interested unless he wants cash. Totally wrong play for where we are at we need more draftingThe Sam Taylor chase is well & truly on. We are trying to make him the highest paid player EVER.

I'm not sure that's correct. I just think he gets moved off the ball far too easily, far too often and there's times I feel he needs to go harder. There was an instance last night where he had a lacklustre approach to a contest on the boundary, GC player nudged him which completely removed him from the contest, and the GC players just strolls off with ease disposing without pressure. That's a bad look and unacceptable, especially when you have form. It's impressive that you manage to bash ward in every thread.
11/19 aren't going to help us though. If you're going to trade Sicily you want to be bringing in top end talent. Not just so so first round players. 19 is basically a 2nd round pick.We shouldn’t be trading out high picks for anyone we aren’t at that stage of development despite what the club says they are wrong or its spin. I’m fine rebuilding but then let’s do it properly. Keep high picks find ways to get more. I will get slammed for this but I would trade Sicily to Sydney; he wins them a flag he would dominate at the SCG. They offered 2 first rounders for barrass last year let’s get those. Blanck comes back Serong is coming along nicely so we can cover and we desperately need more young talent. They have 11/19 this year we take 3/11/19 to the draft that would be a good start.
We need a priority pick. We pick back to back early this year would be a godsend for this list
