They have some headset filthy snipers on their team.

I hate Essendon more due to the history but at a player level the Tigers really do have the worst list of canniving mongrels who love to throw a cheap shot when the opportunity arises.

Agree, let's absolutely destroy them next year we owe them plenty 😡
Is this what one of your snipers look like? 😂

With what the tigers are doing, culling the list by trading out experience players, would that be considered a form of tanking?

Honestly think appointing Yze was a form of tanking. There’s clearly a reason he was overlooked multiple times. Will be very awkward for the Richmond higher ups if McQualter gets some traction with the Eagles next year.

The spoon has already been engraved.

Hope we play them twice and absolutely pants them twice. We owe them a few.

We won't. Our double ups will be Port / $wans, Cats, Dogs, Dees, Suns and Pies / *

I'm genuinely surprised there hasn't been rumours of Taranto wanting a trade.

He'd have to be the filthiest bloke in the competition with how it's unfolded at Richmond.
To be fair it was on the cards, maybe not quite this level of drop off. But i dunno how he looked at that list and convinced himself that was where to move to try and contend.

He and Hopper are on huge coin and were promised the world and given an Atlas. This will be a huge test of their character to see if they can perform each week now when the chips are down.

The Tigers president sniping all the departing players at the best and fairest was a shocking look for them.

I just can’t see the interest in Taranto or Hopper considering the length of the contract, their injury history and the coin their on.
The midfield accumulator who can’t hurt the opposition with the footy is really on the nose at the moment. Clubs weren’t falling over themselves to pick up Titch who is a brownlow medallist and aren’t fighting for Macrae who is multiple AA. Let alone Matt Crouch….
Sadly for the Tigers, they’re going to have to honour these contracts while the coach who organised them is boosting his Super at GC.

Ok time for Megatrade, my first one for 2024 :)

Freo: Bolton, 33 ( give - 10, 18, 30)
GC: Rioli, F2 ( give - 6, 23)
Haw: Barrass, 23 ( give - 14, 33, F2)
Rich: 6, 10, 14, 26 ( give - Rioli, Bolton, Baker)
WC: Baker, 18, 30 ( give - Barass, 26)

PS : if we can get some one else F2 in to the pic, will prefer to give our F1 instead of 14, else feels like Tigers are getting overs, Eagles are also doing very well with 2 Firsts.

Edited - Updated trade to swap our F1 for 14

Freo: Bolton, 26 ( give - 10, 18, 30, F3)
GC: Rioli, F3, F3 ( give - 6, 23)
Haw: Barrass, 30 ( give - F1, 33)
Rich: 6, 10, 18, 23 ( give - Rioli, Bolton, Baker, F3)
WC: Baker, F1, 33 ( give - Barass, 26)

Tigers and Eagles can swap the 18 & F1 if needed. DGB( Richmond) and our F4( to Suns or Eagles) as steak knives to whoever wants it

I can't remember which thread it was but at the start of the 2023 season I was having a back and forth with a Tigers poster and I flat out told him that Taranto + Hopper would end up being their very own version of what Mitchell + JOM ended up being for us which was a failed top up for one last hurrah.

IMO it is becoming apparent that as important as it is to be able to put a contending list together it is just as important to have the big wigs recognise when the time is right to knock it all down and start again. I'm sure some will disagree with me but the Mitchell, JOM + Wingard acquisitions put us in an almost 10 year finals hiatus.

Time will tell if the route Richmond works out for them with the bounty of 1st rounders they're going to obtain and there's every chance that they too end up having a 10 year finals hiatus but if I had to choose between their list demographic and Collingwood's I know which one I'd prefer.

One thing that is for sure is that Taranto, Hopper, Balta and Nankervis will be their tank commanders 😂 😂 😂

just spit balling (like everyone), but I can't see our current 2nd being traded. It will be our best pick this draft, and I suspect we take it for best avail and use a late pick on the beast.

I also think we will not want to weaken our 2025 draft hand too much. We have a full list this year, so won't bother the draft much. Next year will be different and we will/may need several reasonable picks for the draft. We will lose a few through retirement and might also consider a couple, on their last chance, are not up to it.

As a minimum, under pressure if they don't step next year, if still on the list would include DGB, Bennetts, Butler, Henry H, O'Sullivan, Bailey Mac, Reeves, Ramma, Seamus, Ryan...That is a fair group to step up or move on. Pretty much anyone not in the best 26. Includes Lewis, CJ, Day, Frost that didn't play the last game.

An additional FA and minimum 3 picks inside 40 in 2025 would be my goal, assuming our first is circa 14 to 18.

that is a talented group. Throw in Serong, Mitchell, McCabe and Ryan (assuming they keep an upward progression, and we have more than 10 AFL standard players who could run through the backline.

Provides for great coverage and player flexibility to throw around. I can't see Weddle playing back too much unless for matchups.

I'd also like to see what Mitchell can do further up the ground. He plays/runs a bit like Wilmott from lions when in form IMO. Exciting times ahead.

Edit: plus Frost and possibly Blanck.

apparently next years draft is heavily compromised with academy picks ?
