Yeah but West Coast aren't complete dicks clearly. You're suggesting Dodo like moves - let's all be grateful we have one team willing to facilitate trades. If every team was playing like this Geelong are it would be even more tedious than it is now.
They aren't and good for them but when Owies and a few picks in the 60s are what gets you over the line from splitting a top end pick when you're screaming out for talent (and only recently split out of a top end pick to miss on Sheezel) questions rightfully need to be asked.
I would be ropeable if I was an Eagles supporter.
There is a big difference between being a professional operator and being a naive fool. Clarke is looking like the latter but watch him hold firm on the valuation of TB while they give away the goods.
Pretty sure most felt Baker for 14 was ok or slight overs.
We paid 14 for Tom Mitchell.
WCE needing to split pick 3 to get Baker is the cause of mockery.
Or Pick 3 C JuddIf the draft spread is as even as everyone suggests - swapping pick 3 for pick 12 is probably not as ludicrous as everyone thinks. In 2013 pick 13 gets you Patrick Cripps, pick 3 gets you Jack Billings.
Mummy's boy Sheezel never wanted to leave Vic to be fairThey aren't and good for them but when Owies and a few picks in the 60s are what gets you over the line from splitting a top end pick when you're screaming out for talent (and only recently split out of a top end pick to miss on Sheezel) questions rightfully need to be asked.

and as mentioned before Suns turned pick 4 into 6 first round picks in 2023Pretty sure most felt Baker for 14 was ok or slight overs.

Craig David?Poor Tom. We should be walking away, David Craig style
This.and as mentioned before Suns turned pick 4 into 6 first round picks in 2023
WCE should have been proactive and talked a deal out with Saints(7,8) or Demons(5,9) and then traded one of those for 12 & 14.
Hard to defend this deal, I am only hoping they are swapping 24 & 26 as well.
Then if they play tough on Barass a last gasp to offer both F1s for 24 and Eagles F2( or swap F2's).
Fair point. Makes a lot more sense than it being prolonged for the sake of drama.I hate to be that guy, but I’m that guy. It’s not the entertainment value of trade week that dictates the length, but the utility of greasing conversations between clubs. Without a ten-day trade week, Big Boy never joins Hawthorn, for example. A lot of conversations and approvals are needed to take a trade from idea to complete.
If clubs are saying it’s a waste of time then I’m here to listen. Otherwise, we only see the announcements. We don’t see all the conversations that happened to make them possible.
HORFON R BADDIESCarlton have made out like bandits.
No they haven't pick 12 is almost equivalent to pick 3 given how even this draft is for talent there are no standoutsCarlton have made out like bandits.
Did you attach screenshots of all your bf posts? Commuting to perth might be the reason you didn't get an interview.Everybody remembers that the West Coast list manager job was up on Seek during the year right?
They shouldn't have ignored my application.
I drafted Jack Ginnivan for us in a 2020 Phantom draft.
I also hitched my wagon to a young bloke called Jai Newcombe when I watched him play one half of VFL footy.
SOMETIMES I do legitimately believe us nuffies make better calls than some of the actual people being paid to do the job.
I'm coming for Kinnear Beatson next. You may know him from such draft nights as 2022, where he traded out the pick that we used on Josh Weddle, then subsequently selected now-delisted Cooper Vickery at pick 27 and said he had him '12th overall on our draft board'.
