Logan literally said that during an interview though earlier this season. Doubt much has changed in a few weeks time. Maybe Freo have eased off a little and Logan's manager is applying the pressure. Don't forget our ITKs stated something was happening behind the scenes and Sydney threw $1.5m and JUH!

$1.5m sounds like desperation, that's two player salaries right there! We won't know until he signs. If I were Logan I would wait until end of the season. Sydney showed their hand too early with JUH and now he can ask for some of that money to stay.

Saw a stat pop up that a surprisingly high number of his goals come from frees. At the likely price it’s a no from me

Wallzy didn't rate him and used the excuse that he had a few things to work on. The Eagles didn't rate him enough either. I always said he would take a few years to develop as Collard was a bit raw. He has the talent to be an A grader so if he doesn't succeed it will be due to mentality/professionalism. This is why I would rather take our picks to the draft and trade for Collard after the Saints have done all the work for us

Yes I agree it will be a professionalism thing with us. We're massive on that. No way its a talent issue.

Brodie AND Erasmus may ask out. That’s not ideal.
Then it’s Fyfe and JOM with Johnson.
The 4 years to JOM, after career best season from Brodie still doesn’t make sense.

Same sense as letting go of old mate blakers.
They were the reason we beat Melbourne Brisbane that year. When we had our little run of wins ..

What Harley Bennell could've been is literally the impact of 2015 Fyfe but more aligned to Harley Bennell's attributes.

Bennell is type that could get 35 disposals and 8 score involvements and 2-3 of them being him scoring himself.

Fyfe was perhaps 35 disposals, 12 score involvements but only one of those being him scoring directly.

His best games were that good. Its a shame we never saw Bennell play that we'll consistently.

Freo will never trade in a player that naturally gifted for a second rounder again. Its just a pity we never got the best out of him. Hogan isn't much different - we just traded more.

AFAIK Sturt, Banfield and Emmett are all OOC at the end of the year, Switta and Freddy injury prone.

Sexton would be decent ready made backup.


I know its not the flashiest pick or long shot dreams like this thread usually is but it could be a realistic back up move. (I may be slightly affected by having no forwards at all to bring in this week)

That might be technically correct but in reality it’s quite different.
Simpson, Young and Sturt are all from the peninsula area. It’s a metro area in all but name, and an extension of the city of Melbourne.
There is no reason why Brayshaw or murphy would have any different attitude to staying in WA just because they grew up on one particular side of an invisible line that divides greater Melbournes metro area.
