I never would have guessed Jasper Elger would be top 5 in sprint. If anything, when l was watching the champs, l thought he was a bit lacking athletically. Will be interesting to see the rest of his results because as a small forward he seemed pretty consistent and did some good things.

He's a really interesting one....I think he's also late November or December birthday date??.....if he was going around next year would be see more midfield time? Does he develop into a Zak butters type mid?

Algers a horrendously inconsistent player. Id argue he's every bit as 'talented' as Berry or Hannaford but he has a bad habit of turning invisible for long stretches and getting himself in a bind trying to do too much sometimes.

He's highly athletic though, great leap on him too.

Very big ceiling if he sorted out his form fluctuations.

I’m pretty sure that horrendously inconsistent player may have or went extremely close to kicking the most goals in APS football this season so I don’t know how inconsistent he is I think he just tends to play closer to goals rather than pushing up the ground so is therefore out of the play a bit more, like it or not many recruiters pay as much if not more attention to APS football as they do to Coates league.

Alger, 17 Dec, born two weeks later and he's in next year's pool....I seem to recall in a champs game commentary he kicked 8 in one school game, although I might be confused with someone else

Yeah he could be the guy at pick 12 if he lasts. Then go for a small forward with our next pick.

Just my opinion but APS is a fairly massive drop in quality from CTL. Always remember Bont having 50 and 10.

Couldn't be displeased with him. He's a Curnow esque physical specimen. Doesn't have the foot skills of Charlie but he can seriously clunky a mark.

I love how versatile he is and the raw talent he has, could be anything!!

To be honest I have no idea where he'll end up positionally. Id imagine any teams goal will to have him in the forward line as a dynamic mismatch, but if his forward smarts are poor he probably ends up behind the ball as an intercepting specialist.
