Agree. 12 and 14 was only just under ideal position. If were in the 6-10 range with two picks it wouldve been amazing to get Travaglia and Reid/Allen.

Out of those names, I'm only interested in Allen for us, and that has to be contrasted with Smillie & Hotton's abilities to accumulate inside and outside respectively.

Allen's midfield craft leaves a lot to be desired, but I do like his agility, speed and ground level defensive pressure for his size.

Upgrading from 12 and 14 to 6 and 11 with only an extra F2nd and time would be a master stroke.

Suspect Richmond would be more interested in pick 38 than Brisbane's future 2nd. Whether that's enough though is the question.

If Hotton is continuing to slide, I would then turn 11 (at that point, it's probably 13 or 14) and a future pick into picks that net us Hotton and potentially one of:

• Hynes
• the Whitlock twins
• Trainor
• Shanahan

Don’t think Draper is going top 2

It's interesting to me that a lot of our supporters think Draper is the best bet for us, but nobody has him going top 2. FOS and Smith both have top 2 credentials. Is it purely about pace?

Not a knock on Draper though. I've actually improved my opinion on him and would be happy to have him. I'd be happy to have any of top 6 candidates to be fair. Lots to like.
