Does anyone think Richmond's draft haul is actually pretty shit?

Lalor x factor type who likely got over drafted because of potential rather than output.

Smilie big midfielder but maybe too big? Hasn't shown a difference extrapolating to AFL level and was exposed when he played senior mens footy this year.

Hotton who has come off an ACL - a type of player that has rarely succeeded at AFL level.

A couple of talls in a midfield heavy draft that weren't good enough to crack into the top 10 despite Key Position players generally being over valued and the dearth of them in this draft making them even more valuable this year.

I'm very hopeful that they've just selected a bunch of Tamblings and Tyrone Vickerys

What it cemented for me was that although this is seen as a deep or even draft, we absolutely killed it by moving up to pick 3.

Really looking forward to what Nick & co have got lined up for the rest of the draft.

Must say I don't know much about these upcoming selections, so it will be really interesting to see if his actions align with our much learned posters and their thoughts.

James Barrat is the one I like, love the way he goes about it, aggressive , nice leg and footy smarts, he's a little short around 194/5 cm for KPD, may grow, he'd be a good addition.
My pick too, reminds me of Battle in the way he plays above his height. Add his aggressiveness on top of that and even if he doesn't grow he can play KPD IMO.

Did forget about him, very good player, but not sure he'll cope with other aspects, not just concussions

Think Richmond made a couple of high risk moves last night. Trainor and Hotton. Not sold on the potential reward being higher than the other options available either. Guess it goes back to the old cliche "that's why they're paid the big bucks and why im sitting on my couch.

I know that the consensus around here is that we are dead so keen on a key position player at 40 all but is Austin?

Nek minute we pick a flanker or inside slow mid at 40 😅
I think we're keen on getting a KPD in, but the issue is that a lot of quality players are still on the board. Could get someone high up on our rankings at pick 40 with the way it's shaking out.
