In: Carrol/Cunningham/Moir/Binns

Sydney a strong physical team and Ollie although runs all day gets pushed around too easily and once he tires a bit his brain slows down with his decision making and skill execution, so I think he should be the sub.

Durdin a good month in VFL minimum to figure out how to find the ball.

The ins will be interesting.

Not even that, just go back and stick some tackles and stop doing dumb stuff like flying for marks in our F50…and even our D50 as he did tonight!!!

The issue is until Fog and/or Mots are available we have nobody to replace him as a small forward, outside of playing Williams out of position.

I’ve played it back and forth a couple of times. He definitely glanced his shoulder but it’s not clear whether his arm moves up and strikes NB’s chin.

You’d think he was shot in the jaw.

The overreaction Reminded me of that episode of Seinfeld when the spit hit Kramer and Newman!

I've been as critical as anyone with Kemp, but his last month of footy has been sound ish.

Stayed within his lane, focus on man first, and has attacked the contest with aggression

Yes, he will make bad judgement calls, but he has continued to minimise those errors over recent times

Yes, still a watch and see

Well, at the absolute least he is wayyy better than Lewis Young.

OUT: Cerra Durdin

INS: Cunners Williams, both playing high half forward help with spread & speed of ball movement, pressure, creativity and delivery…

Edit: Newman may be going on holiday?

Motlop might be a chance to come back. They said 4-5 weeks on 16th of April, we play the Swans on 17th of May, so that's 4.5 weeks...

Great news, club could possibly give him a game or two back through the reserves to find a bit of touch before slotting him back in maybe?
Was flying during preseason, looked in fantastic shape…

We can't just keep bringing in guys after long lay off's and expect them to be ready. Get match conditioning in the 2's and then come back in. Make guys earn a spot.
We can, because we're actually extending their absence for weeks as a part of match conditioning. It worked wonders for Walsh, and it's been known for quite some time for Martin. The 'ol "put them in the twos" is obsolete.

Ollie will probably survive with Cerra out and Durdin under similar pressure with less tickets, but he is currently a liability in these big games.

Would seriously consider giving Cottrell the wing permanently, Cuningham or hopefully Fog into the side, and let him go back to the 2s and dominate for a bit.

Nothing wrong with having second year blues but plenty wrong with carrying those players whilst we are playing the best teams. Hewett was punished for being slow by foot and Ollie has been just as bad.

Ollie had a really good first quarter and I thought great the week out did him good. But he got progressively worse from there. Cost us a few goals just through having such a light frame and a bit of lack of awareness.

No change from the bulk of the rest of his season really. If we're a top 4 team we need pressure for spots and pushing out guys out of form.

Was super frustrating watching him try and take mark of the year when he could’ve easily put a fist through the ball allowing Petty to mark it. Then a second instance not long after on the wing that was less costly but still made that same mistake.

I am a big believer in Kemp and I think his attacking nature is what will make him a great CHB in time so I want to stick with him. Gaining plenty of valuable experience which he won’t get at VFL level, still only 30 games into his career so he has plenty of improvement left but he needs to continue working on when to play offensively and when to just kill a contest. Even that dangerous tackle moment was quite arrogant at that point in the game and on another day a ball in his hands turns into a Melbourne goal. He will get there.
He just needs to pick those moments better. In the wet jumping high across a contest inside 15-20 metres from goal is a spoil not an attempted mark. He did it far too often.
