There is only one reason Moir is playing in front of Lemmey tomorrow.
The weather…….else…

I think it’s simply because he’s a bit more competitive at this stage and is able to apply more pressure than Lemmey. As we know we keep preaching pressure and contest and with the weather looking ugly it will be about forcing repeat stoppages in our forward 50.

At the beginning of this thread I said that WC would administer last rites to our season - that's how low I was feeling. Now I am much more optimistic. Not saying we're absolutely going to win, but I am much more optimistic. Looking forward to Moir and Lord debut, and a full game from Binns. And if 23 play with cohesion and heart, then I actually believe we will win.

so does on the wing. Makes no sense to me. Also, look at the upside.
It might be deficit based thinking, but unless he's given a licence to play super unaccountably - ie, he plays as an extra, akin to how Nth played Sheezel in his first season, as an extra and a plus 1 behind the ball - he's going to leak goals. Plenty of peole are kicking him already, I'd rather not add to it by playing him in a position other than his natural one in a must win game away from home.

I also think you've chosen to miss the point. While you can certainly leak goals from a wing you're a good deal more likely to leak them from the back flank or pocket, especially when two of the three smalls he'd have to cover are quality as WC's are.

Disagree. Put Hollands at HB he won’t let us down and will possibly give us the drive we need

Is that due to the weather? If so I think that suits us.
Yeah. The track started with a soft rating but the heavy rain today has obviously downgraded it to heavy.
Also has been a lot of thunder and lightning as well, so it's not surprising that it's been abandoned.
As for us, I think it will be good too. The ground will be slippery and they've named 3 tall forwards.

I know it’s the lower league but only 1/10 WAFL teams kicked more than 8 goals today, and that team kicked 12.

The weather here in Perth is really bad, and Optus is not designed for it.
I see it more as Eagles have a strong fwd line against Carlton VFL, who have defensively struggled for 6 weeks. The weather is secondary. Just my opinion

Hope all goes well but I don't like the talk of Voss in regard to moir -- has X factor but he just has to play his role --
Why you pigeon hole a young player to a role player -- Tell him bring the skills and let it rip.
We have to many role players already, we move the ball like robots thats why oppositions have been carving us up .
Win the last two we probably play Brisbane in Brisbane..

Has O Hollands won a 1 on 1 contest his year?
Probably not, his body is still under developed, but the number of times he has saved us from his defensive efforts, besides Acres has been incredible from a kid his age within his first two seasons..

From what I’ve seen live, he’d be one of the first picked in my team for his sheer gut busting ability to cover and protect us due to our crap defensive organization…

Yeah the kids been frustrating with some of his disposal & decision making but at least he gives it all he has, he’s a competitor with IQ just needs to fix up his decision making…

I hope our players are watching the crows vs port game.
Centre clearance a kick off the ground, second kick a soccer to own advantage, 3rd kick a soccer goal.
Ball never left got more than waist height from centre clearance to the time it went through.

coach steps into a club that's sacked x number of coaches in reasonable succession. this stuff breeds itself sometimes.

These players have been through a few coaches haven’t they? They also seem to have a lot to say when our coaches are appointed and fired. Maybe they are the problem. It is quite possible this group aren’t truly willing to strive hard enough when things get a bit tough to win a flag.

There was a very Round 21 2021 v Port Adelaide (Marc Murphy’s 300th game) feel about their effort against the Hawks. I really hope they prove me wrong tomorrow but I’ve got a feeling they have given up on the season already and we’re gonna see another uncompetitive performance.

Expect our tackling effort will be better than last week. All players need to tackle and apply pressure, none of this stand off corralling crap - apply real pressure and the turnovers will come.

After the Saturday night results, it's still mathematically possible for us to finish 4th if we win the last 2 games and other results go our way.
EXTREMELY remote chance, but a chance nonetheless.
That would mean a final at the SCG, so probably not the best result for us!
Crazy season!

Us finishing 4th is about one in a hundred - so mathematically possible but highly unlikely

Would need Cats to lose at home to Eagles
Plus Lions lose at home to *
And a depleted Blues to win against Eagles and Saints

At this stage we would be lucky to get 8th - beat the Eagles and hope that Port beats Freo so that we don’t need to beat the Saints
