The second round pick that we don't give away for ANB, you'd think
I'd happily part with that pick for Peatling. Vastly different level of value there than for ANB who is coming to the end of his career. If we land Peatling, then it would represent a fantastic offseason.

really? not stats wise... I would prefer ANN as it gets murphy out

His numbers would be skewed by being the sub on 7x occasions.
Good call, it seems he has averaged just over 50% TOG...so those stats would certainly be skewed somewhat, although his TOG went down substantially this year from 2023, maybe a testament to the strength of the GWS midfield.

Reeves from hawthorn is other one that would be interesting

Yep to be fair there’s a few of us that have been talking about Peatling for months and suggesting he’d be the right type

Including you

I bet the salary is VASTLY different!

2 separate issues. Contracting ANB for 2 further years beyond his Melbourne deal is an uneccessary risk. Look at what Laird and Smith delivered this year. At least with those 2 there would have been competition for their signatures. ANB had nowhere else to go. We should just honour his Melbourne contract which takes him to 31 and extend year by year from there.
