Not Crows related, but this needs to be asked.

What the **** are Melbourne doing??

Melbourne regular bring their first forward to try and get a good player a year early. It’s a great move and something we should be doing - rather than generally pushing back to pick up extra picks

Oh you're back, and talking about what happened 9 weeks ago 🥱
If you actually read a few comments before mine you'd see why I posted about it. Continue being an ignorant jackass.

Just went back to the comment you're talking about and that whole page was on that topic. Makes you look even more stupid

How did the culture evaporate ?

They still seem to be a very connected group, and despite people’s criticism of Nicks - he has not lost the players, it’s actually the very opposite

Culture is always changing and its incremental, its never stationary. There is every bit of evidence to suggest the culture Nicks built took a bit of a hit and the issues are long and distinguished this year, losing, Rachele, selection integrity, murphy leadership and selection etc, all impact culture at different levels. The real key will be to see how the culture of the group will be pre season and how we start next season. Culture has to be fostered. Just because you see superficial PR videos that the players know are going out on the club website and facebook doesnt mean its one entire close nit group. There are always factions, always different friendship groups.

I consider those sort of pseudo-science personality systems to be right up there with horoscopes and the reading of goats entrails
well its based on hundred questions not what month you born but its still a gross generalisation. as i said its hocus pocus but still interesting and can helo people get along when they understand the way others think and react

As we have discussed before - there is negativity and there is nitpicking every decision that’s made. Generally where you sit. Nank is a decent young player - but every chance he is out of the side this year. And when you look at the output (stats) side by side Smith had a higher output (metres gained) in an unquestionably poor year

So not surprising he wasn’t completely locked in each week.

Metres gained is a very blunt instrument to measure impact on a game - 50m down field straight to the opposition is great for metres gained, very bad for positive impact on the game.

JUDGE: Counsel may proceed. Present your case.

DUMB LAWYER: Ok, your honour. The accused committed the crime! sits back down

JUDGE: Er…did you want to present your evidence?

DUMB LAWYER: I said he did it, so he did it, your honour.

JUDGE: Approach the bench, please. You do realise you making an accusation is not evidence, right?

DUMB LAWYER: Looks around frantically for other dumb lawyers to support him
It’s the vibe…

We don't even play all our kids. Curtin not even getting a regular game. Last thing we need now is more kids esp with anb peatling and cumming

Interesting concept. I think when clubs can trade two years in advance there could be some absolute howlers when looking back in hindsight. For that reason, they will be very nervous and trade quite conservatively to begin with. E.g. 2025 Round 1 may be worth a 2026 and 2027 round 1. That sort of thing.

That’s why you don’t lol at single stats in isolation

You look at metres gained, with DE and score involvements - that give you a picture of impact

True - and disposal efficient plays a part - and how they are measured as well

Understandably we are much more lenient on young players than older players. Just not sure Nanks ceiling is much higher than we have seen - and suspect he will be back to fringe (excluding injuries) next year

Since we are playing the stats game, how many of Smiths disposals and metres gained were kick ins?

And it absolutely staggers me that anyone including you are even trying to build an argument for Smith who was horribly out of form replacing Nank after the showdown, even taking into account the unbelievable workload of 5 games of footy.
