Why would you change the set-up of the team that much??? No way will that happenHas The Cholls Royce Ever played defence? Maybe he would thrive great size and competitor!
I'm reading back through my comment to try to find where I said any of that. Can't find it.
A hallmark of our footy is stopping the opposition from being able to generate I50s or transitioning the ball, in addition to hunting ground ball and getting any loose footy on our terms.
For us to notice Phillips playing especially poorly it means:
1. We aren't getting our hands on the ball at stoppage
2. We aren't controlling the ball post stoppage
3. We aren't applying enough pressure to force turnovers
4. The opposition are breaking through our structures and getting good looks
At that stage we wouldn't be particularly concerned about what's happening at full back, and save for having a defensive freak like Taylor there wouldn't be anything we could do about it.
I love Frost and what he's been able to do this season, but if we didn't see it as a weakness that could be exposed we wouldn't have gone hard to acquire 2 KPDs this upcoming off season.
Hogan is the only tall fwd that will worry us in the run home, and I can't see them getting over the Scats at the G in a Prelim.
Such a monster win, we didn't have floorboards where I was that night, but there were plenty of objects being thrown at different times.I broke a hole in the floor boards of the place I was renting from jumping up and down when Jon Barker kicked that winning goal.
TM is a fairly good journo but I highly doubt he would know ! It’s Monday and someone has told him Phillips is coming in ?!Tom Morris reporting Phillips likely to come in

GWS are a very good matchup for Geelong . Would think the Cats would far prefer playing the up and down LionsGWS have a habit of surprising everybody come finals time. I thought they'd roll Sydney but they botched it.
If they get over the line against Brisbane I actually think they're a decent shot at beating Geelong.
They were 1 point away from denying Collingwood a premiership last season.
They denied us all the Collingwood vs Richmond GF in 2019.
Would LOVE to see them beat Geelong. Brisbane have ZERO hope of beating the Cats in Melbourne, so fingers crossed we get Hawks and Giants wins this weekend.
Actually I disagree, Frost does have the best year of his career being unnoticed. Frost is taking his fewest disposals at his best efficiency as a Hawk, is conceding the fewest frees (by a fair margin) and is labouring under the fewest inside 50s we've conceded in his time here, 2020 not included. That's allowed us to see more of the good parts of his game, and less of the bad. He hasn't had a single coaches vote, either. The point I was making was that if the only reason we notice Phillips is because everything else is breaking down (all your four points), then that means the only reason we ever notice frosty is the same. So frosty’s position is irrelevant. Which it isn’t. My point is that the fullback is critical to the structure of the defence - sort of obvious with everyone noticing frosty is having the best year of his career and the Hawks defence is killing it. You don’t have the best year of your career being unnoticed.
One last way to make my point. The front of the defence can take risks and run off their men because they know the back is super solid. If the back isn’t super solid then all the other stuff that relies on that breaks down. The coaches are (in my guestimation) figuring how to best to keep the back reliably solid - and assessing the attacking tradeoffs that come with that. Phillips or shift Scrimmers/Sicily to the back position is the question, as per my guessing. In Phillips goes back and doesn’t work out for whatever reason, the adjustment to address that is more debilitating than not selecting him in the first place, it can be argued, so the question is more consequential than we may think.
I also think Phillips is their most likely choice, but I can see how they may choose otherwise. If that’s a question they are considering.
Severly undersized?? Isn't there only a few centremeters difference? It's not like we are asking Watson to play FB.I really hope they back Serong in and play him in place of Frost.
I know we will be severely undersized by doing this instead of going with Phillips but I feel this is the time the coaching staff need to reward Serong for the stellar season he has had in the VFL and to show him he is part of our future plans.
I have a feeling Serong will play his best game in the Brown and Gold and repay the faith shown in him.

Spot on, you could nearly get away with Hardwick on Ratagulea this week.Hogan is the only tall fwd that will worry us in the run home, and I can't see them getting over the Scats at the G in a Prelim.
Hawthorns backs got exposed in Q1 against Adelaide - that backline needs to be shielded with upfield pressure because it is undersized.Huh? You mean the role Frosty has played is meaningless to our form? His performance is irrelevant because if you notice it then everything else is already broken?
