I think Sydney is one of the clubs that have done this fairly well in recent years
Yeah, we're not wanting them on the same day in Vic if it means we can't travel & get to the main game in time. Sydney games are usually fine when they're playing at Lakeside Oval due it being literally across the road from the SCG.

True for NSW and Vic fans. I was more meaning that we don't get screwed over with having to hold players for seniors and they miss out on any gametime completely.

Same goes if we have reserves playing before seniors at all.

The dream, at least for team management, is any Thurs to Sat senior games, followed by Sun arvo ressies.

Full VFL fixture has just been released. First Swans game on Sun 24th March at Tramway Oval vs Coburg at 12.05pm.

EDIT: That is a whole 17 days after the first Swans seniors game. The VFL fixture is so scuffed, what with a whole bunch of byes during the season. Surely could be more in line with the senior team's matches.

Hopefully he will have a good season at Port Melbourne. When do we play them?
The Grand Final. Lachie* will lead them on a charge to the decider, we'll have a golden run with injuries and our ressies will be a well oiled machine.

*Assuming his stellar form doesn't result him going to the Eagles in the MSD.

Will make Harley Reid redundant if he does go to the Eagles.

Gawd, imagine the heat if we'd have played Footscray and the Crows in Sydney on the same day. LOL.

I don’t understand the thought process behind a fixture where there are more teams in the competition than rounds and yet teams still play some other teams twice.
It’s done to create the perception of a fair & even competition.🤔
It helps make some teams more even than others.
