Johnson collided with Mitchell, who was subsequently knocked to the ground. Wicks came from behind and Johnson tripped over Mitchell as Wicks tackled him, exacerbating his fall then hitting his head on the ground. 4 weeks seems a bit excessive. We should appeal but may not as there may not be much money left in the soft cap after the Heeney and Parker appeals. Plus it's not like we will get a fair hearing....

Best we can hope for is a reduction down to 3 games realistically given that he tackled him without the footy. Its not a legal tackle and the player was concussed whether that be off the head clash or the tackle its impossible to tell so it will be all dependent on the level of carelessness.

At least with it looking unlikely that we'll nab 10th spot, given Carlton's decimation, GWS are also out of VFL finals contention.

If they stay Top 4 in the seniors, which is doable, they'll probably be open to reserves hitouts each week of finals until one of us exits. So at least we may have competition for our guys until Prelim weekend.

Just cos he wasn't drafted to the afl at 17 doesn't mean he isnt up to VFL level

What about that Will Kelly, formerly with the pies. Hasnt seemed to play VFL with us since first half of the season? Injured? Reckon could still be useful, high expectations at the pies
