As was mentioned in the members Q and A we want to get back to playing the attacking brand that we tried at the start of the year. Through the corridor. Daniel is that guy to bite off the 45 degree kick to get it into the corridor from defence. He’s going to have a very big part in what we are going to do next year. We can’t have another year of LMac or Fisher trying to bite that kick off.

If we play that way, he’ll also be a big reason why we get stacks of goals kicked against us because he can’t defend for shit.

Guess what?..

Next year we have a second and third!.. but wait there's more!..

For all the DPJ's (Draft Pick Junkies) on this board we have a 1st rounder too!!!!

Get around Brady - the KING!
You mean....

....this sh!t happens again next year?

FFS Shermie. Why??? You've pissed me off now by telling me that.

Depends on how you spin it, but we are crying out for experienced players to lead this team. Both will play crucial roles, including much needed leadership.
Parker will provide the mature body in the middle/forward and Daniel offers elite decision making and skills (which is exactly what we need).
Letting pick 25 go, I’m assuming they intend to split pick 2 for 2 players in the top 12-15.
I think this is a really positive move for North.

It's more the list balance. That was a good chance to add Gerreyn/Faull/Sims as a key forward or Matt Whitlock as a key defender or small forward like Hannaford.
In the draft?

Great, just what we need more kids getting fed into the meat grinder of a club with low on-field standards and leadership.

Way too much whingeing on here. But I accept that. It's Bigfooty. Par for the course.

Clarko said we needed experience, so we bring in three premiership players. can't argue with that.

Some waned pick 48 back with CD when we gave up 25. Which bona fide champion player would we have drafted with pick 48??

Some wanted to give up our F2 rather than 25, without realising that F2 would have BEEN 25 in or thereabouts in 2025. Somehow in some people's minds F2 is pretty much a throwaway but 25 is valuable. Come on guys.

We needed experience, not more speculative young players. We have tons of those. We got experience. It was a good result. Be happy. We still have pick 2 as well.
Absolutely spot on 👍👍

Our rebound game sucked because we don't have any forwards who know how to lead.
They lead, we just kick it 10m over their head, or to their direct opponent.

Won’t take long for people to see the value in having someone who can kick to the advantage of a teammate.

Look people are allowed to have negative opinions on trades this club makes. We heard the same stuff when people called the CCJ trade a poor one, and every time this club has made a blue. We will make more mistakes as time goes on, that's just the game, and it's okay to put your opinion out there when you think one has been made.

I pray this doesn't turn out to be one, but IMO at this point in time, it is.
CCJ areas.

I was a big fan of splitting the two, but that was just to get capital for Houston.

Now I hope we keep it. Get the best player possible.

Run with Larkey, Comben and Darling as talls in the forward line.
We ain't taking only pick 2 and as it stands now our other pick in the 60's to the draft. We are 100% splitting it now, our only hope is our ff nets us something decent in return and we can keep 2

i much rather have traded a future 2nd over 25

you take the similar pick 12 months in advance every time

and even the future 2nd was overs but at least not as bad
