At least if we pay Roh more it is better than overpaying Billings, Dunstan. Newnes, Longer etc.
Would be remiss of the agent to not want more. If I was Roh would be asking the manager why he didn't get him more before locking him in until 2027.

This is the thing. We want to play finals and be competitive. You w***ers think we need to win trade period like we have for the last 15 years while never getting any better. it's a shit draft to go full on into the front end of.

If we sell off all our competitive players we start to look like North Melbourne. Personally I will cancel my membership because we were sold a crock of shit. We should expect a competitive list and not have to wait 10 years to get one.

If this is another rebuild the whole place needs a broom through it. They have been absolutely terrible at running a footy club. Bassat and the board are not up to it if they can't even get the basics right even after throwing money at it.

The picks are compensation for Battle and maybe Marshall. It doesn't sound like the club is shopping them around. Were not starting another rebuild. The rebuild stared a few years ago and were about half way through.
Our list is young and holey. If we're not trading in average players on good coin which we shouldn't and we're not landing big fish were looking for the highest draft picks possible. This doesn't guarantee the best kids in the draft but it gives us the best opportunity at drafting elite talent and that's all you can ask for, which we've done quite well in recent years.
I think the club has the right team in player management. I have faith.

Marshall would be in the top tier of rucks even if he isn't conventional. HS rate him the fourth best ruck in the league.

I was the poster boy when it was rebuild time. We had Stuv coming out, the end for Roberton, Carlisle, no midfield etc. We went out and topped up instead of going to the draft. All after years of selling off picks to chase shit top ups.

We are stocked with youth now and should keep using high picks but need refining and holes filled to start moving forward.

Not just firsts that could be 15 and 19.

You would want a top ten and a low teens.

You would also want a decent ruck lined up Campbell is not a no 1 ruck and Heath is not quite ready
If that came to pass and we lost Battle we would have possibly picks 4. 5, say 8 and 15 for Roh.
Not quite bottoming out but certainly a major and dramatic reset.
And for those who say Roh isn't worth that, he is contracted to 2027, so Saints hold the whip hand.
