Look, I am very happy with our off-season. All the players before the draft, including Draper and Welsh, are hopefully long-term players for the club. Just think we could have swung the axe a bit more with this draft's calibre and the fact that the last glaring need is a ruck that can mature and be ready to step into ROB's shoes. Filthy should only be a part-time ruck, so we should put all our eggs in Murray Jr. or get the flop king from the Bombers next year. Maybe I'm a bit carried away with the previous post, but hey, it's BF.

We won't be making any live selections in the rookie draft. It will just be picking up Burgess and Schoenberg again.

For whatever reason, the club decided we would only bring in five players this year. When we managed to land three trade targets, had pick 4 and also had a father/son locked away, that was it. Everything else is just administrative fluff to make the list line up.

Hi RB, there is a known error in the Big Footy code. This means every time we create a new thread on our Board, we spam Big Footy. It's resulted in a default Watch setting for most users.

The post below by Chief explains how to unwatch and that will halt the issue. The defect is still ongoing so I would suggest everyone review the post and unwatch.

Interesting. Come to think of it, I’ve never been to the Swans board either (that I can remember) except for earlier tonight to check what was happening with these notifications.

Career 62% KE is pretty reliable for a half forward/midfielder.

Out of position is a seriously overblown argument when dealing with smalls. If you can play midfield, you can play every small position effectively. It's just midfield with some parts not being as important.

That said, half forward is not a position that is typically conducive of good kicking, elite does sit at 70%. Now, his KE% would be lower at SANFL though, purely because he's played as an inside midfielder, which is arguably the single worst thing that can happen to someones kicking.

Pay overs?

A second round pick can get you a decent ruckman every year.

You're far better off waiting and trading - the number of ruckman who become decent is pretty low, so why spend a pick on them so they can then sit on your list for four years until you know?

My main criticism is we should of had the list space for one more pick.

I struggle a bit to give credit for picking Draper. Fantastic pick-up but we got in the position to get him via a really poor year. I don't think its worthy of the club patting itself on the back too much.
