Head still averaged 40 for the series despite his king pair. He's always been a bit feast of famine, which is fine but you wouldn't want 6 blokes like him for balance sake. Just as you wouldn't want 6 Khawajas, who averages 40 but gets starts then gets out.

You can’t ask who’s making bill runs and then dismiss the answer because you don’t like it. Bancroft made 950 runs last season and 550 so far this season.

I just don’t see it with Bancroft or Harris. Both have failed at test level and seem limited batsmen.

Also Bancroft in would have meant leaving out Green and having everyone in the side over 30.

Renshaw has time on his side a bit more, but would need to improve to be a regular test player. If you include county records, Renshaw has had a better first class record last 12 months over Bancroft.

Marnus is showing his true colours tbh. Got lucky early with dropped catches etc, but he has shown to be quite ordinary against any length.

Green at 4 is bewildering. That's crazy pressure for a 24 year old all rounder.

Personally, Head is an opener. He takes on the new ball and would be perfectly suited to Khawaja. Smith goes to 3 and Marnus 4 with Green at 5. Better balance.

Best part to me was Joseph talking about his passion for Test Cricket in the post match interview.

He said while he'll probably play some T20 his aim is to always be available to play Test Cricket for the West Indies with Brathwaite patting him on the back right after.

Yep. Cummins is an all time great bowler, Smith was but is past it as a bat. Warner an all time great at home. Lyon a very good off spinner. That's about it

I think you're being a bit harsh, Hazlewood isn't bad, Ussie has been rock solid, Travis Head, Alex Carey has been very reliable etc

Hazlewood doesn't get many top order wickets against the better batting sides, his tight so builds pressure but his a minnow basher

Hasn't played an away series that wasn't england for 7 years Hazlewood.

Uzzie been good yeah. Very solid, heads best is infront of him not behind him. Very inconsistent atm but he will be a gun.
