I'm hoping there isn't much play in the first session due to rain as I will be watching the St Kilda v Melbourne game and I don't want to miss anything.

There looks to be some rain around on the UK weather radar there but not all that much in the Leeds area so they should get some play before lunch.

Has any explanation been given to why the camera work has been absurdly s**t?

Panning the opposite direction to the stroke played by the batsmen, zooming out chaotically, inability to track the ball etc ...

Never seen this before, ever.

Not sure of the reason for it, normally the Sky cricket coverage is second to none nut it was woeful last night.

Maybe some of their usual cameramen have gone on strike and they have got some drunk blokes from the Barmy Army to fill in for them.

Could see him dropped if he makes no runs next Test and the Ashes are still alive going in to the last Test. Otherwise we are waiting until after the Sydney Test.

Even then I expect him to do a gotcha and reverse his retirement decision.
Warner should not be given that chance. Not any more. He's outta credits.

His last feeble, get-out prod @ Broad must end his Test career.
He walked off, smiling, ffs. Doesn't even have the brains/character to hang his head.

Warner has been an angry, troublesome and divisive element within the team and in International cricket for years. I don't mind confidence, but Warner's cockiness is mean-spirited and beyond arrogant. His poor wife must be a Saint.
Warner was responsible for our greatest cheating shame. HE supplied the sandpaper. HE bullied eager-to-please rookie, Bancroft, into doing his dirty work. Smith abdicated his responsibility in not stopping it before it happened.
Warner is one of --- if not THE --- main reasons why Australian Cricket teams are despised world-wide. Still.

Warner has got to go :grimacing::mad:.

I'm really not sure who the target market for that book would be.

Ok she was an athlete in her own right but in a low profile sport so that is not going to pique many people's interest.

She is hardly going to go in depth about any of the salacious stuff that people would actually be interested in.

So, who the hell buys / reads it?
Probably the same people who watch the Kardashians

Crucial first hour and session here which will probably decide the test match.
Head and Marsh survive until lunch (or the inevitable rain delay) then Aussies in the box seat and probably win.
If England make the break thru and get into the tail, they'll be favourites to win.
Can't wait till 8

Need at the very least a 250 run lead, they only need one of the Bazball brothers in Duckett, Brook, Bairstow or Stokes to come off and they would canter a score of around 200 in 35-40 overs.

I didn't have time to look at it and not intetested. It's a biography. People borrow it rather than buy it.

I think we don't just need runs, but need to hold out as long as we can to get the most out of our bowling.

I think these two last for at least 2 sessions and posssibly a 300 run lead would be ideal. Then hopefully get 360-400 lead

You could probably just watch the last 10 minutes of the Saints game. Doubt it's going to be exciting

Skimming over the past 10 or so pages I have not seen one comment even suggesting Australia can/perhaps will bowl out England cheaply during their 2nd dig, not one..?
I could be wrong, but it appears most have been seduced by the commentary box cheerleaders suggesting the hosts will simply chase down any target under 350 runs as a matter of process (mainly on the basis of one players miracle knock here 4 years ago!), when if fact Australia are just as likely to route England for 150 runs as England are of succesfully chasing 250+...

Our bowling attack & plans have a habit of losing the plot. So for that alone I'd add on 50-75 runs to any minimum total we need. But otherwise I agree with you, only 3 of 24 have passed 40 in this test, it clearly isn't easy to bat on.

I think these 2 at the crease are going to score quickly no matter what. So if they get thru the session, it's 100+ runs easy.

Was just waiting for our innings to be over before that😊. Fully believe we can roll them for under 250 but want to see us inflict a bit more pain before that if possible👍
