its remarkable that nothing seems to have been done to address the mental struggles of the top order in particular over a long period of time. seems to just be holding onto hope that someone or a couple of batters will put in a big innings, or the tail will wag. guess it's easier to just pretend there's nothing wrong in an aging side.
