This exactly. This is a culture that has created the global epicentre for scam call centres. If they can get away with it they’re as corrupt as f*** and if they get busted then it’s all indignant blaming and finger pointing.

No, I called out Indian cricket, not India…there’s no need to smear an entire nation because the BCCI are a disgrace

Don’t be asinine…address what I said or don’t respond
I believe India “controls” international cricket in the same fashion and for the same reasons that Victoria “controls” Aussie Rules.

Is it corruption, or is it just gravitating to where the money is?

I’d be interested in your explanation as to how you think those two things are mutually exclusive

He should have been suspended for a test at a minimum.
I have no doubt any Aussie player would have been.
For clarity and any thoughts that this is “corruption”…..

Tendulkar missed out on facing the India quicks. I’d prefer missing out on facing Ambrose, Steyn, McGrath and co myself.

False equivalence…when have Indian quicks ever been their strength? Playing an incredible amount of games on decks suited to spin was a massive advantage for Tendulkar and to suggest otherwise is disingenuous

I think that article perfectly highlights the corruption of world cricket…I can’t imagine why you’d present it as doing otherwise?!? 🤷‍♂️

And I get it.....i totally get the love for Jacques Kallis (All Time Great by the way) and Steve Smith (All Time Great too), but Lara was just something else.

Maybe Smith's peak was as good or close to Lara's? But like i said, Lara's ability to score big..not many could do that.

Kumar Sangakarra (All Time Great) could do the same (score big) but he played 15 Test matches against minnows Bangladesh (three 200+ scores) and 5 against Zimbabwe (one 200+ score). He scored in total eleven 200+ scores.

Sangakarra: Vs Bangladesh

Sangakarra: Vs Zimbabwe

I have, in my opinion, Lara as the best batsman I've seen and Tendulkar is at number 2 but I'll say this....there isn't very much between them at all in my opinion.

Recency bias will have a lot of people say Steve Smith is the best but perhaps one knock is that he doesn't score big often enough - 34 Test hundreds (so far) and "only" nine 150+ scores. Consisteny is his strength.

Anyway as you said it's subjective and it's probably worth it's own thread actually for a good discussion/debate.
After Bradman it’s difficult. Of the old blokes - Hobbs, Richards, Pollock and Richards dead set superstars (but latter two didn’t play many tests). Tendulkar and Lara probably above Chappell and Ponting.

What, that not one single player has been suspended for inappropriate contact since the rule change, and somehow everyone calls Kohli the bully and we start playing the victim and should be suspended and we would have been.

He made contact, copped the penalty. Konstas didn’t care, he went on to hit a bunch more boundaries straight after. Why are we all so offended?

I personally reckon we’re all collectively crying because it’s not us doing it.

Maybe we’d all be happy if Kohli had just come up to the stump mike and told Konstas that he was going to break his f**king arm. Because that’s ok.

India are the unofficial governing body of cricket ($$$).

It’s funny how cricket was fine without Indian money for all time until the last two decades.
The question I have is this Indian money helping any one other than India? What funding have they put into this tour? Are they sending multi millions to the ICC for them to distribute as they please?
Outside of individual players getting rich I am not sure how Indian money is helping cricket anywhere outside of India?
Bit like the PGA tour, does nothing for golf outside of America.

It’s irrelevant what woulda happened with player X. You are quite correct you cannot be doing that. A local Grade player would get several matches - at least. As a Captain I would probably leave him in a lower Grade for the rest of the season - for being a Dick.

As for the DSC that interviewed Konstas - one of the most selfish ($$$) acts I’ve ever seen.

If Australia wins here they play South Africa for the WTC.
I'd rather play SA than India looking at their lineup.
Not really.
This India is trash. SA have strong form and underrated.

Can’t see India carrying Kohli, Rohit Sharma. Ashwin leaves and it’s a different squad. They’ve loss their shine.
