Show how shit Starc bowled with the new ball, Boland came on and show something. Need to see how the old ball behave on this pitch.

I’d be opening with Boland and Cummins. We cannot have Starc wasting the new pill

Slightly concerning how skittish our no.2 and no.3 batsmen are looking, on what is meant to be a relatively batting-kind surface.

Need to just push through this new ball. We did not use the new ball like this.

And where did I say he's supposed to be the finished product? so sensitive lol
Stating he has things to work on. No shit Sherlock.

You should be the Australian coach with that level of brilliant analysis on a kid in his debut game against the form bowler in the world. He's been the most comfortable of all of Australia's players against him too.

I would have dropped Khawaja,Labs and even rested Starc earlier but who to replace with just not sure and can not make to many changes seeing we are 1 all in the series.Oh I forgot your favorite to drop Marsh, lol.

Still would not drop Khawaja or Labs yet. Marsh can go I’d actually be fine us trying Webster in Sydney as he should play in SL anyway. Starc is continually cooked every summer by the 4th test

It’s been a very good test pitch, as it has been for a number of years. There’s nothing worse than the roads of yesteryear.
I thought it might be a bit more two-paced by now. Maybe there was enough moisture and live grass roots for the heat on day one to not count for much, and its been cooler since. I wonder if it would be a different story had day two been the hot, drying day.

This is a fraction too much on the flat side for me, but it was expected to be honest

I'd rather what we are seeing here than this (12/1011 so far):

Konstas being bottom hand dominant will always be vulnerable to ball coming back in. Whether he looks to change something so fundamental as his grip will be an interesting watch.

Also one of the few international batters without a trigger movement - not saying that’s a technical flaw (tendulkar didn’t have one and he is the closest I have seen to technical perfection) just against the grain.
yeah thats his issue big gap when it comes back in ...but he will work on it
