Was just told the Kontas-Kohli thing started. In the Priminister 11 match in Canberra.
Kontas scored a century. And gave the Indian bowlers and fielders plenty. And the Indians gave him plenty back.
Dont know what happened at the airport. But the young rock star has got under Kohlis skin, lol

Recon Indian tails we be up after todays fightback.
Where pretty ordinary in Adelaide Brisbane .And day1+2 in Melbourne.

87,000 day1
85,000 day2
83,000 day 3
Long live test cricket
Well done Melbourne.

Just 100,000 from the record, only an all time Aussie batting collapse could stop that now.

Australia will be disappointed

Should have been batting again by lunch
Dunno about by lunch.

But disappointed? I'd suggest they'd be gutted.

Great effort from the Indian batsmen.

I actually don't think we were that bad bowling wise but there was a definite complacency there in the field and the runs on offer given how far in front we were. Just no pressure after lunch really.

Didn't Pucovski make 60 odd on debut and there was no interviews with him.

Konstas is the Gen Z face of the BBL, or will be pushed as such.
Ch7 / FOX keen to ride the wave of pushing Konstas to push the kids to keep watching the BBL on their networks

He'll be fine, if he keeps it all in check.

But it reminds me of when Itchy and Scratchy introduced Poochie

Does this mean Konstas is going to die on the way back to his home planet?

Yeah, there's certainly a weird hysteria over Konstas. Nobody should dismiss an opener making 60 on debut in attacking style against at least one elite bowler - it's a good effort.

But people need to look at the context of the game. A bowler also made 49. Every recognized batsman/all-rounder/wk except for Head, Marsh and Sharma got a start. There's been two centuries and 4 half-centuries by other players. The media will push its narrative for clicks, but anyone buying into it after literally one innings needs to check themselves.

India are paying 8s to win. I don't think 'complete long shot' = realistically in play. It's extremely unlikely India could win from here.

Draw should be the favored option.

Let's say we roll them within the first few over tomorrow, probably won't want to set them anything under 350, which will take at the very least 2 sessions. A bit longer if Konstas, Head or Marsh don't get going. Then we have to bowl them out in under 4 sessions. If Jaiswal didn't run himself out, who knows where they'd be right now.

No hate for the kid, but the media milking machine JFC
Stop watching. I have. And mute is your friend
There wasn't the generation gap in the team that exists now. He's our first Gen Z cricketer and they're desperate to reinforce this.
The Clarke Ponting gen x gen whatever gap was a chasm.
Everyone wants the kid to succeed.
The crowd was out of their seats yesterday even.
The boomers get called out a lot and unfairly but the gen x hating in the kid is unfair

This is the same game Pat Cummins nearly hit a 50 and nearly every man and his dog has had a start. Still gotta score them but it’s hardly been a challenge for him

He came in at 6-down with his team nearly 300 behind, series on the line in his first overseas tour having never passed 50 in a test match. It’s not Lara at Bridgetown or Waugh at Sabina Park but it’s a pretty bloody fair effort in the context of the series and his career

You are 100% correct but in today’s day and age this lad and the way he plays are going to be poster boy for cricket in this country for a while - I was disappointed I didn’t get to see him bat live, it was building towards an epic last session but the innocuous bad / light rain before tea screwed that.
