I'm starting to think JB in particular has a thing for teenagersOn that, why do they so often say "young nineteen year old" or "nineteen year old teenager"?
As opposed to what? An old 19 year old, or a 19 year old centenarian?

Bowl Australia out for 200. It's not that long of a shot.India are paying 8s to win. I don't think 'complete long shot' = realistically in play. It's extremely unlikely India could win from here.
Just consider the game situation had India been bowled out in the 1st session today, then compare it to how things stand right now. Like night and day, all because they toughed out an extra session with the bat.
It shows both the worth in sticking it out as a batsman when the chips are down, plus it brings all the strategy involved in this very unique but great game to the fore.
When was the last time a 5-Test series was so evenly poised on these shores?? I ****ing love it!
Draw should be the favored option.
Let's say we roll them within the first few over tomorrow, probably won't want to set them anything under 350, which will take at the very least 2 sessions. A bit longer if Konstas, Head or Marsh don't get going. Then we have to bowl them out in under 4 sessions. If Jaiswal didn't run himself out, who knows where they'd be right now.
Doesn't look like breaking up enough to be a classic 5th day pitch though and Lyon hasn't dominated, Jadeja and Washington out bowled him on a day 2 pitch.Australia should win from here. India's multiple all-rounder strategy paid off relatively well in first innings, but they are a batsman short for the task at hand now.
Too many out of form and also relatively attacking players, I don't see that batting line-up as one you would want to task with digging in on a 5th day pitch.

Chasing 300 on the final day would be difficult.Bowl Australia out for 200. It's not that long of a shot.
Pay at gate / buy a ticketIf I wanted to go tomorrow do you have to book or can I pay at the gate.
just rock up, should be able to buy when you get there. If I wanted to go tomorrow do you have to book or can I pay at the gate.
You'll take 100 runs lead in the 1st innings any day in a typical Test but do you think the pitch will be a typical 5th day pitch on the final day????Chasing 300 on the final day would be difficult.
Paywalled but the list of people Don wouldn't speak with would be a cast of thousands anyway. The story of how Sir Donald Bradman gave Gary Sweet the cold shoulder after the Bodyline miniseries had gone to air:

This type of shit pisses me off no end - the poor bugger in the end became hermit because of the fascination with him - Roy & HG mused for the last few years of his life was locked up in a room and forced autograph bats - it’s not that far from the truthThe story of how Sir Donald Bradman gave Gary Sweet, who played Bradman in the Bodyline miniseries, gave Sweet the cold shoulder after the miniseries had gone to air: https://www.heraldsun.com.au/entert...e/news-story/adc059371631381b39ec523f20799647
Bowling Australia out for 200 would simply be Bumrah running through a brittle batting line up. No gremlins in the pitch needed. And even then would still have to (most likely) pull off the 2nd highest run chase in MCG history...
It's extremely unlikely they could roll Australia for 200 on this pitch. And if it's because some pitch gremlins have appeared, then they'll be fighting even more gremlins themselves on day 5.
Of course you could bet your house at 8-1 and you'll be rich. But there's a reason punters aren't taking an Indian win seriously.

Honestly who cares about his relationship with Gary Sweet? Seriously let the poor bugger rest in peace

Not having a go at you - I just can’t understand why anyone would write such shit. I’m not defending Bradman in any way, by most accounts he was a pretty different type of character to the typecast sporting hero and possibly not the greatest team player, however.Yeah, upon reflection I shouldn't have posted that article. It has nothing to do with this match and it's not particularly interesting.
Newish book on the Harry Hodgetts looks interesting. Not having a go at you - I just can’t understand why anyone would write such shit. Having read some of his letters to friends written late in his life, there’s just an amount of sadness attached to the public fascination with him that definitely took a toll on his enjoyment of life at various points in time and that is a massive price to pay.
There wasn't the generation gap in the team that exists now. He's our first Gen Z cricketer and they're desperate to reinforce this.
