My favourite pick of the draft, was really hoping we landed him, he's a beauty. Should play next year and have an impact while still being young enough to have a long career with us.

Sneaky suspicion we traded up in front of Geelong to grab him who were rumoured to be interested.

I really like this pick, his rate of improvement this season in the VFL was crazy so watch what he can do as a full timer.

Natural position seems to be HFF, but can play wing too. I wonder if we are earmarking him for the vacant wing role or if he's competition for Vanders / Mcneil for a fwd spot.

Putting pressure on those positions (HFF/Wing) is a massive tick. Need to upgrade those areas.

Davidson is the player people wanted Dom Bedendo to be.

He and Kennedy both ran blistering 2km time trials. Having a marking forward that can run like a small will give us more flexibility in the forward line.

He also might get some defensive jobs instead of West or cause some favourable match ups if he’s next to Darcy, Naughton & Marra and ends up with a small on him.

If he can get a handle on the wing that would also give us a different look and extra cover there.

We have to remember that we rarely have all 3 talls on the ground other than to start and finish the quarter as one of English, Darcy, Naughton & JUH are generally on the bench.

If Davidson is ready, he’ll get a good chance to find a role as that floating third tall. Bevo likes to use one wing as the half forward rotation so it’s reasonably easy to see where he’ll fit in immediately.

He averaged over 3 tackles a game too so it seems he does have a decent ground pressure game.
