At this stage I don’t think he’s got the tools to do that

All I’ve heard is that he batted 3 years low, made a mountain of runs in districts & came on like a comet.

Have no idea if he favours leg or off, if he prefers forward or back, or if he has a solid defence.

He can get a decent 60 tomorrow & help win a series.

Or be a Christmas clown show.

Strange series, relying on Boland to probably win it for us.

Watching highlights, the pitch is doing a bit but far out there has been some soft dismissals. Batsman backing away to square leg as if the Indians are bowling thunderbolts.

Anyway, said after the first test that the result may come to bite us back in the bottom, only ourselves to blame if it ends 2-2.

Damien was a fantastic bat. Suffered from politics at a time when he really should’ve been in the side.

Punter would have memories of our failed 100 odd chases in the past
Triggered remembering the 1994 SCG Test.

10yo me still hasn't forgiven Martyn (despite it not being his fault at all) :straining:

Johnson, O'Neil, beardman are just off the top of my head

Johnson is almost thirty isn’t he? Can certainly play but he’s not a full next gen. I’m looking for the younger guys ready to bowl fast.

Not a criticism, just adding to the conversation, I'm sure Aus selectors check in with the Big Footy selectors, to keep their fingers on the pulse.....
IRL I'm Tony Dodemaide.

Based on all the talk, Cam Green will be used in the side for at least the short term (when he returns) much like Shohei Ohtani this season - no bowling and only a batsmen. They don't want to overwork him & see him as a batsmen first.

I think Webster has more than earned a good go at the team. 31 is basically youngster in this side. I'd argue the player (aside from Marsh) that's in the periphery for the number 6 slot is Hardie. But his injury + form has pushed him away from selection for timebeing.

I expect we will likely see Green play 3 or 4 again, than 6. How they shuffle it, will be interesting.
Mcsweeney is the other option. I’d not be surprised if Khawaja calls time soon.
