No I don't wear a tin foiled hat. The pressure has been on by the BCCI for years, and we have won WTC against them, the WC in their backyard, NZ beat them 3-0, and the Jaiwal decision last week. None were affected by them. It is a coping mechanism.
The argument should be is Wilson correct or up to the job, not looking for conspiracies in every decision one doesn't like.

Spot on - searching for something that isn't there. I don't believe it ever translates to on the field.

Off the field is very different, such as forcing half a tournament/possible final into a neutral country...

I normally agree with Ponting but I don't agree with him when he says you can't scoop the ball off the ground if it's hit the grass.

It's not easy to do it but you can do it so there was too much doubt to give it out, people disagreeing about the call equals doubt.
Not that quickly. Finger and thumb were under the ball hance it can touch grass under the rules.

If you have to pretend the large public pressure after that decision is a 'conspiracy', that tells you how you're going doesnt it?
Yes. If I don't believe your conspiracy, it's all me.
The BCCI conspired with Kohli, Smith and Wilson for the ball to be edged in such a manner it may or may not have touched the grass so Wilson can bow to his masters and defraud the Australians a wicket.
Yup you have convinced me.

Like to run a book on how many times we’re going to have to suffer through watching a replay of Smith’s catch during today’s telecast?
And no!.. Don’t fall in the trap of a can for every time! You’ll be sideways before lunch
Will it come anywhere close to matching the number of times it gets a run through in this thread though? My guess is no.

Going to all this effort to build a straw man, and still not overcoming it convincingly.
